Hotel Andaluz Rooms

Conrad Studio Queen
To be deemed "a classic," something must possess the qualities that define timelessness, sophistication, functionality, and elegance...welcome to the Classic room. The ambiance created by our designers would deter any suspicion that this room provides our most humble square footage which makes it perfect for the traveler that is only able to join us for a short stay or the "on the go" traveler that does not have a lot of time to enjoy their room. The impeccably selected art compliments this quaint room that is home to an inviting work space and a queen size bed.
Premier Queen
Naming a room "premier," was not a feat that we undertook lightly. This room maximizes its space by providing a quietly graceful separation between your sleeping chamber (complete with a queen size bed), your parlor, and your working environment. We added an extra fifty square feet to our Classic room (accounting for the small sitting area), while maintaining the intimate feel provided by the charm of a smaller room.
Conrad Deluxe Queen
There is no mistaking the intent behind the naming of this room. Enter beneath a Moroccan-style doorway into the majestic kingdom that is host to a relaxation area befitting royalty with its spacious furniture, a working area complete with removable tray-top for your laptop so that you might conduct business from wherever you are most comfortable, a sensual king size bed, and a dual contemporary-styled vanity.

perfect for dancing

I picked this hotel because I wanted to spend my birthday dancing. Since I live far away from the city, staying at a hotel was a must. We looked for a hotel that would have a dance plance near by. Turns out that this hotel had the dance place inside. I loved the music, modern and it was difficult not dancing. Great DJ!

Great old hotel. Service not so great.

No coffee makers in the rooms. You can call for them, which we did but it never arrived. First day housekeeping did not clean our room because the "do not disturb" sign was out. We specifically made sure the sign was not out when we left. The next morning the alarm went off at 5:45 and we had not set it. There is no way to accidently hit the alarm button. Saturday night was noisy. They have a rooftop bar and events.

Gorgeous!

Normally, "historic" can mean "getting run-down", but definitely not this hotel. They poured lots of money into renovations, and now it's a historic hotel with all the best amenities. Treat yourself to this place. It's one of the places with most distinct personality I've ever stayed in.

Andaluz

The Andaluz is a beautiful hotel, it really has been recently renovated and it looks it. (I remember when it was La Posada forty years ago.) Even if you don't stay here, just go into the lobby and look around. You can have a drink on the mezzanine, or go up onto the roof for a view of the city and Sandia Mountain. I think the rooms are over-decorated, though, with too different designs and colors and neo-western art to take seriously. Some artwork, like the partly filled beer cans and bottles on the wall, looked like leftovers from a previous party - it wasn't attractive or thought-provoking. Still, it's a very good hotel, quiet, with good amenities and helpful staff. Depending on your budget, I'd recommend it. Ask to see a room first if you're unsure.

Dining tip: Not Applicable

There's no restaurant open late, even on the weekend, except for New York Pizza on Central Avenue, so be prepared. For something else you would have to drive over to UNM/Nob Hill.

ameneties are nice - but not the noise

The hotel is beautiful - but had zero noise proofing in our room - we heard motorcycles zooming around and around until 2a.m - called to front desk @ 1a.m. and 2a.m. - they were unable to help us out. Mentioned in the morning that we received little restful sleep - still no offer to slightly discount the room. Will not stay there again.

Andaluz get-away

The location was great, just a block from the convention center. The hotel is a gem. The lobby is quaint with small alcoves off of a large main room. The bed was very comfortable. I was upgraded to a larger room that was very stylish and made for a restful environment. During check-in, I was offered and requested an in-room coffee maker. However, it was inadvertently removed after the first night and I had to request it again. The lights in the bedroom and bathroom had dimmer switches and after a few minutes would go out and it would take a bit of fiddling with the switch to get them back on. This would happen again and again. This became rather annoying.

Andaluz

Great hotel located in the heart of Albuquerque. I was told the facility received a major overhaul in the past three years. The rooms are all updated including the bathroom and closets. While I did not have a tremendously large room it was a king bed and I had ample room for my needs. Staff is friendly and very accommodating. Good "bar scene" which livens the spacious lobby. I will return.
