Nice hotel for the price

The staff was very friendly and had many recommendations for things to see and do around Albuquerque. The rooms were comfortable and clean, if a little outdated. It was close to I-40, which made traveling around Albuquerque easy.

If you like Mexican food, Albuquerque is a good place to be. Try Sophia's or Garcia's for authentic "New Mexican" food

Not so Great

The location was great as far as being close to the Interstate-40 but to me not safe. I did not like the area and I could not sleep. The atmosphere was not too friendly or inviting will not go there again or recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank You

What we were looking for

We enjoyed our stay and felt it was a good value with clean rooms, early breakfast, and friendly staff. The room was quiet at night. We would return to this hotel.

Weekend stay

Went to a wedding in ABQ. Spent two nights at the hotel: in and out. No fuss. The room was simply, but adequately appointed. No fridge or microwave, though. There was the smell of cigarette smoke in the 1st-floor hallway, but no such smell in our room on the third floor or in the 3rd-floor hallway. Did not try the breakfast. Right next to the I40 freeway: easy to get to the hotel, but proximity equals noise with the window open. Air conditioner sound covered up highway noise. Neighborhood seemed sketchy, but we had no problems. Good value for the rate we got. Reservation made through Orbitz, prepaid. Checkin involved a simple signature. Checkout involved walking out and driving away. Easy, the way it should be. I would stay there again at the same rate, no problem.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

This hotel is 10 miles from the Albuquerque airport. Very convenient for early flights out. Without traffic, the drive is about 12 minutes.

Meh.

Got in very late. Staff were friendly and accomodating. But the room was the kind of hotel room where you don't take off your shoes...

Fairly Decent

In a somewhat decent area but did not feel safe at times. The sheets and towels were stained which was not good. The hotel staff was very friendly and more then accomedating.

Cheap place to sleep

Bed was rock hard, 1 towel in the room, several of the electric outlets didn't work. But for a place to sleep, if it weren't for the bed being so hard, would have been fine. Front desk was very helpful and courteous.

Not very impressive

On a positive note, we like the fact that there is no direct access from the room to the street. In other words, you can only get inside the hotel via the lobby or you can use the room key-card to open the designated doors to get inside the hotel. The location is good. Even though it set back behind another hotel, it is easy enough find. It is near the interstate and is accessible to a variety of restaurants. The rooms are clean and they are in an acceptable condition (not fancy). They are good for a sleep over. Since the hotel was not busy the time we were there, it was fairly quiet. On the negative notes, the room size is appropriate for one person. When two people are in it with luggage, it is pretty crowded. Minimal amenities are provided. Our experience with the towels was unpleasant. The white washcloth on the first day we stayed there had lipstick stain on it. The white washcloth for the second day looked dirty (4" diameter circle of dark stain in the middle of the washcloth). We were surprised to see that only one very small thin bar of soap was provided each day. You have to use this for shower and hand-washing at the sink (for 2 people, in our case).

You can find several restaurants in the area easily and conveniently on the same road. There is 1 Italian and 1 Chinese Buffet restaurant on the other side of the street from the hotel (walking distance).

.generally nice stay

A little difficult to find and access from the Interstate. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The air conditioner did not work correctly and was not repaired until the next morning. Had only one towel and no washrags in room when we checked in but the staff corrected the oversight immediately. Overall good experience with clean comfortable room and bed.
