La Quinta Inn Las Cruces Mesilla Valley

I only stayed one night at La Quinta in Cruces. I enjoyed it. The room was clean, the bed was comfort and the bathroom spacious. The price was good.

I asked for a non-smoking room and when I walked in to my room it smelled like cigarettes. It did not look clean. The bathroom light would not shut off and there was no fan for the shower.

The location was convenient but the room, which was large, had a dirty carpet. The bathroom was very small and the tub had what looked like a paint stain. Breakfast consisted of cereal, muffins and waffles. I would stay again given the low price.

This hotel lack maintenance care. It lacked toilet paper (only 1/3 roll left and no spare), no bulb on wall lamp, wifi was very, very slow (we were at the annex building) and customer service is poor. We were given side comment that we seem to complain a lot when we called. It is sad because the facility is above average but management need to improve these quite easily.

Great staff, clean rooms, very comfortable bed. Other than the construction on I-10 great place to stay.

It was a little expensive for what we got. I know the price went up $30.00 because the Rodeo was in town. I had called for a room a week later and the price was $30.00 cheaper. It was clean , some small tears in the sheets. The towels were not up to what other Motels have, Breakfast was good nothing out standing All in all it was average. We have stayed there before

I had stayed at this hotel in the past (about 7 years ago) and it was great. BUT...I think there might be some new management or something, because the quality has really slipped. The lobby and front restroom were kinda shabby. Just not very clean and some chipped paint, etc. The front desk attendant was really friendly BUT clearly new and overwhelmed. He was left alone at the front right during check-in time at the beginning of a holiday weekend. His manager was "on break." hmmm... When we got to our room I was so disgusted to find that the caulking around the tub was full of black mold spots. I don't tolerate this in my home so I definitely don't tolerate this on my vacation. Ewww. The hotel was fully booked so they couldn't move us to another room. He offered to have it cleaned, but with mold like that- I am sure a little wipe-down wouldn't do the trick. I hope they get their act together because it used to be a really nice little place. We cancelled our stay there and had to hustle to get another room at a nearby hotel. I hope the refund process is not a mess since we booked with this site.

I have stayed in La Quinta's before and they have all been clean and professionally run but this one needs improvement. There was no wi-fi available in my room and I overhead another guest complaining on the phone with the desk clerk about the same issue. Carpet on stairway was loose and dirty, and the bathroom in my room as somewhat shabby. The manager or franchise owner needs to be more attentive to the hotel and the obvious details that need to be fixed.
