Good Value
Every thing about our stay was good, except the business center was very warm, no cool air, probably something that could be corrected if mentioned to the hotel. Breakfast bar was provided, lots of choices. A short drive or bus from downtown.

Holiday Getaway
Uncomfortable bed, scratchy towels, in-room heating unit that brings in the outside air filled with pinon smoke plus a TV remote that didn't work = wished we had booked at a different hotel. The breakfast was mediocre: hot food was lukewarm, cold drinks were lukewarm.

What you'd expect?
Room was decent, but the bathroom floor would have benefitted from a good scrubbing - especially in the corners (weeks of debris in the corners by the tub). Breakfast buffet was well maintained.

Good Place to Stay
This hotel was in a very convenient place in town: Only about 5-10 minutes to down down and about 30-45 minutes to the ski area and casinos. The rooms were very clean and the continental breakfast was a great deal. They even have a pancake maker which I had never seen before! Over-all I am very satisfied for a chain hotel and will consider using this hotel again in my future travels.

The Whole Hog Cafe is a GREAT place for BBQ. They are "world champions" for their Whole Hog. I had a BBQ baked potato which was VERY good, and they have 6 different original sauces at each table to chose from. I sampled all and all of them were great! From the hotel just head North on Cerillos and it will be on your right!

Our Sante Fe trip/review
Everything went smooth from the get-go until check-out. Even the complimentary hot breakfast was surprisingly good. The beds were comfy and the a/c units worked great and were not noisy. The Holiday Inn Express staff was very good. The place needed a hot-tub by the pool and that would've been very nice.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when offering information on the sites of the area. The room and bathroom were very clean when we arrived. The television had sound issues, but we weren't really there to watch television so this wasn't a huge issue. The breakfast was less than desirable. It was edible, but it's recommended just to go out for breakfast or skip it.

You must go to the plaza. There is usually some form of entertainment in the square. Many interesting shops, restraunts and art galleries surround the square.

Shop the square and some of the shops. Ate at a few of the local restaurants. "The Blue Corn" was the best.
