Nestled amongst a secluded tree covered compound just 3 short blocks from Santa Fe's Historic Plaza, you will find a refuge like no other in our magical city. Las Palomas embodies the charm, elegance and ambiance which makes Santa Fe such a unique and special place. The historic casitas of Las Palomas built of traditional adobe bricks have been maintained to preserve the authentic feel of Santa Fe and have two distinct styles of Santa Fe architecture, "Territorial" from the Spanish Colonial culture and "Pueblo" from the Native American culture.

As you stroll through our private gardens to your very own Casita you will enjoy the meandering brick pathways enhanced by gas lamps, beautiful aspens, and flowers. At every turn, you will find the sculptures and paintings of Native American Artist Doug Coffin adorning walls and courtyards. Enjoy relaxing in our Breakfast & Coffee bar which offers a deluxe continental breakfast each morning and serves espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, teas and hot chocolate throughout the day. For the more ambitious our exercise center features Matrix Fitness equipment for the complete workout.

Las Palomas offers studio and one bedroom Casitas each decorated with custom leather and wood furnishings with their own style and flair of bold colors, local artwork and hand-woven rugs. All Casitas offer fireplaces, king beds, kitchens, robes, microwave ovens, coffee makers, hairdryers, irons & boards, high-speed internet and complimentary deluxe continental breakfast. Our one bedroom Casitas also offer a separate living room with queen size sleeper sofas.

We look forward to hosting you as you relax and hide away in the secluded side of historic Santa Fe.

Dogs accepted for a non-refundable fee of $20 per pet/per night payable directly to the property.

Not your typical hotel

Everything about the hotel was great except the internet service in our room was not working. They said they were having some problems and I assume they will fix this. Quaint, cozy, quiet, and near the main plaza. We will stay there again.

Charming, but old

Our room needed to be remodeled. The bathroom grout was dirty, the fixtures were old, the shower had a high pitch when the water was running, and the shower curtain was too short. The dead bug in the tub was not a welcome sign. I spent the rest of our stay looking for bugs. Outside the front door was a hole in the tile. The bed was comfortable, the breakast was very good, and the staff was wonderful.

Wonderful old world comfort

My stay was enjoyable, relaxing and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is walking distance from the Plaza in Santa Fe and many other attractions. The shuttle service is the best I have ever experienced. Las Palomas was like having my own charming, adobe apartment away from home. It was quiet, the bed amazingly comfortable, and the breakfast was very good with many extras. I found my new favorite tea there.

Never again

The room we were given was terrible. We felt like we were staying in a old run down 50's motel. The door knob had to be jiggled just right to get the key to turn. Big stains on the carpet. just very dingy. No Security, anyone could walk up to our "Motel" room. And to top it all off our "King" bed was two twin beds pushed together with king bedding on them so we had a big gap in the middle of our bed. Not worth the money by any means. Maids didn't even clean up the coffee pot or give us more coffee for the next day...

Good value, good location, great breakfasts and hospitality

We really enjoyed staying at Las Palomas. The location was very good and quiet, and it happened to be very close to a bar with good live music. The breakfasts were awesome, featuring omelets, waffles, fruit and lots of other tasty stuff. The proprietors were very helpful in providing information on where to eat, hike and see sights. We had a two-room suite with a mini-kitchen and the only downsides were that the bedroom was too dark and the water was lukewarm for the last 2 days. We would definitely go back, however.

Great value & location

We had gone with friends to celebrate their 46th anniversary and my wifes birthday. Staff was very helpful with things to do, and great places for lunch and dinner. Had there free breakfast every morning, and warm cookies at night. Definitely would use them again.

Nice but needs attention to detail

The rooms are lovely and spacious but definitely lacking in attention to detail. I stayed in two different rooms and both bath tubs needed to be re-caulked, had mold and empty spaces in between tiles where grout was missing. This was very unfortunate for such a nice hotel. There was also hair in one of the tubs. Also, the utensils in one of the kitchens had caked on food on them like someone had used them and put them right back. The maids really need to check things like that. The first room I was in the bath mat had obviously not been replaced from the previous guest as it was soaking wet. The front desk seemed short staffed and harried. Las Palomas is an easy walk to the down town area. My first night there was a constant tapping noise coming from the roof of my room and the manager told me he was sending someone to my room to check it out but no one ever showed up. When I complained again the next morning after a completely sleepless night, they did upgrade my room. Given the number of other similarly priced and located B&Bs I wouldn't stay here again.

Six days in Santa Fe

What they called a studio was far from a studio and updates were needed badly. The kitchenette was a mircowave and refrig in the closet. The place had some charms, we were able to build a fire in the courtyard. Staff was not nice. When I commented that my room needed cleaning there remark was, "we have free parking where other Santa Fe hotels charge". Breakfast was good, but you can only get coffee 7am to 10am.

Charm of New Mexico

Las Palomas was just charming. The rooms gave the adobe/New Mexico feel especially with the wood fireplaces, the staff were extremely attentive and the continental breakfasts were fabulous. My husband and I both enjoyed being so close to the Plaza and yet tucked away so that it was quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

If it's the first visit to Santa Fe, take the outdoor tour bus located at the plaza in front of Hotel Fonda. It shows where everything is/gives you your bearings while giving some great historical information.
