M needs to up the ante

The hotel is nice though if you want to compare it to other four and five star hotels on the strip it falls way short. My wife was served raw bloody chicken in the steak house and no manager ever came over to apologize. Often the cocktail waitresses were rude and arrogant. We did have a nice view of the strip but the walls were thin and room was loud. The bed was very uncomfortable, definitely not a "heavenly bed."

Nighclub Noise

I was in Vegas for business. They gave me a strip view room which overlooks the pool area. The room was nice enough. However, Saturday night when I returned to my room (10th floor) late that evening, there was a nightclub party going on in the pool area. Now when I say the music was loud....it's an understatement! I could hear all the words to the songs and the pumping bass was vibrating the glasses on the desk in my room. The sound even overpowered the TV turned up all the way! At 1:30 am I finally called the front desk to ask how long this would go on and they told me they do it every Saturday night until 3 AM!! I had to be up for work the next morning at 6. I was not happy! If you plan on staying at this hotel over the weekend and are not wanting to party all night, I suggest the desert view side of the hotel. I myself will not be staying there again!

good value, cleanliness can use some improvement

this is the most fair and honest assessment i can give about my experience @ the M... overall, this place was ok. for the amenities and the value this hotel/resort is a good place to stay and gives you the most value for your buck off of the main blvd. however, unfortunately the 2 rooms we stayed in were not the cleanest of rooms for the type of hotel the M is trying to be. i'll leave it at that b/c it seems that one can't elaborate on much else b/c these review sites don't 'allow you to post anything too negative... i took the time to write a detailed review and can't seem to post it due to "inappropriate language" even though i didn't use any. that said,... i don't know if my experience at this hotel/resort is an isolated one, but i would definitely not recommend or stay here again.

Terrible

I wanted a location in S. Las Vegas, the price was very reasonable, so I gave the M a try, never again! Total ameteur operation, I had several people to contact after arriving from Asia, the Internet was not working, I went to the cashier to exchange money, they offered me $1400 USD less than what I ended up receiving from a casino on the strip. The room was nice and the casino was very nice, but I'll never go there again, I'd suggest Green Valley Ranch.

Awesome resort, but bad for gamblers

This hotel is gorgeous! Everything is new and the design is very appealing. The rooms are very modern looking. I tried the $20 dollar trick, but the front desk person ([...]) took my $20 and just gave me a room on a higher floor. He was trying to sell the fact that it over looks the strip, but that's exactly what I booked, a strip view room. But considering that there are only 16 floors, I guess the 11th floor isn't too bad. It did have an awesome view.I went with 4 other guys and we mostly gambled there, playing the Pai Gow tables. We lost over $1000 dollars but were not given one comp, even though we asked for at least a free buffet. That type of service turns me off and I'll have to think twice before gambling at the M again. The dealers were also pretty rude. They have this expectation of getting tips whenever you win, not even considering the fact that you might have lost a lot throughout your stay (as I had). I won around $150 playing pai gow and when I walked up to leave, the dealer (a Ukrainian lady) started slapping the table and saying "thank you, thank you" in a very mocking sort of way. The other incident happened when I won about $200 at the roulette table and the dealer there (an older guy names [...]) was telling the other dealers that "someone forgot my birthday". I thought that was extremely rude and it negatively affects my view of the M. So all in all, if you're a gambler, or frequently lose money at Vegas, don't gamble here. There are much better options with respectful dealers and a better comp system all over Vegas. Otherwise, the M is a beautiful place with some nice restaurants and other great amenities.

poor attitude at check out

We are not aware of any charge for my husband to use the gym,not told at the time of entrance to the gym,I ask about use of spa and they told me I need a coupon which should be given to me at check in, since I did not have one, I left, my husband went in to use the gym, found out at check out the next day a fee of $15 to my account, asked the check out agent (JCARDENAS) about it, I got a cold reply telling me "you are ONLY paying a group rate!", I do not know what type of rate I am paying by booking online, but I certainly do not like being talked to like I am a second class citizen.

The "M Resort" was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L *

The hotel was amazing... from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. The check in area has gorgeous flowers and the pool was beautiful. They had a live band at night... starting at 7 ... all reggae... it was romantic and pleasing to the eyes and ears. Great getaway for a couple... The casino was fun and the lounges were great It was so different than the noises on the strip... oh and 10 minutes from the strip.. More like 15... But well worth it if you want to stay away from Vegas...
