Bellagio is both beautiful and classy. My only negative comment is related to check in: the woman who took care of our check in spoke such broken English that it was very hard to understand her. I surely missed out on some information. Clean, lovely, overall.

Almost perfect

  • Groom's family
  • 20 May 2012
We were in town for a family wedding. We had a great time, but missed having a coffeemaker in our room and a refridgerator that we could use without being afraid of being charged for moving bottles. The pools were great, but having to pay to use the lazy river tubes was a bit much. Beware of the $25 a day resort fee, and be ready to pay it as you check out. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff were very helpful.

If you are looking to be in the middle of all the action, skip this hotel but if you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing place with the best pool in Vegas, this place is your ticket. We were so pleased with Mandalay Bay that we are planning to return. A little bit away from the heart of the strip but we were not interested in being in the middle of the noise and crowds. Highly recommend!

Great Hotel, So So Room

  • Phinn
  • 2 May 2012
Obviously Caesars is one of the best casinos in Vegas, but the expensive and small, basic room was too hot (with no way to adjust the pre set temperature), and they charge for just about everything (including half the daily amount for a 5 hour checkout extension and $25 a day for wireless Internet access). The restaurants and casinos are fantastic, as is the decor.

Description
The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas will celebrate the magic and fantasy of Carnevale this summer, featuring three months of classic Italian festivities, including new experiences, entertainment, art, music and wine throughout both resorts from June 4 to Sept. 9. Features include the nightly electric light parade starting at 8 pm (winding its way throughout the resort, with electric gondoliers, courtesans, stilt walkers and jugglers creating a visual spectacle); the light show 4 times nightly (the iconic clock tower illuminates in a spectacular five-minute 3-D show); Carnevale Nights (a night of revelry, for ages 21 and up); and daytime children's and family activies, including decorating Venetian masks with feathers and sequins, searching for clues on a scavenger hunt, and being entertained by roaming balloon artists and face painters (daily from 10 am to 6 pm). In addition, enjoy the Art Walk June 4-30 with art pieces displayed in the WOW space and in participating stores in Venetian and Palazzo Shoppes. Featured are glass blower Robert Shield June 4-10, 3D artist Melanie June 11-17, pottery wheel clay artist Thom Bumblauskas June 18-23, and Living Art and the Live Mona Lisa June 24-30. With such a spectacular setting, it's clear from the minute you arrive that this is an all-suite, five-diamond resort destination with something extra. Located on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip and approximately four miles from McCarran Airport, The Venetian triumphs in recreating the glory of Venice. Suites start at 650 square feet, nearly twice the size as a typical Las Vegas hotel room. The Palazzo is steps away and offers guests more amenities and features to enjoy. Faithful replications of the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Campanile Tower, and St. Mark's Square offer awe-inspiring sights and sounds true to the crown jewel of Europe. Don't miss the quarter-mile Grand Canal set in a frescoed sunset sky where gondoliers serenade their passengers on the romantic ride of a lifetime. Features such as the 134,000-square-foot Canyon Ranch SpaClub, the more than 80 international boutiques of The Grand Canal Shoppes, an opulent casino featuring all your table and slot games, a five-acre pool deck, menus created by celebrity chefs including Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck, David Burke, Thomas Keller, and Mario Batali, and the entertainment of Blue Man Group, Phantom - the Las Vegas Spectacular, and Wayne Brady guarantee every visit to The Venetian will be unforgettable. There is a daily resort fee of $20 plus tax that will be charged upon check-in. Resort fee includes daily access to the complete fitness center located inside the Canyon Ranch SpaClub for up to two guests, unlimited en-suite high-speed Internet access, unlimited local and toll-free telephone calls, daily newspaper, free boarding pass printing, one free regular coffee at Cafe Presse and a 2-for-1 well drink, house wine, or domestic beer at La Scena, Oculus, Laguna, Fusion or Salute lounges. 20th Anniversary

  • Happy Hubby and Wifey
  • 20 May 2012
My husband and I stayed at the Venetian for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. From start to finish we loved our stay. The entire hotel had a wonderful aroma and our room was fantastic! We stayed in the luxury suite facing the strip. The view was fantastic. The entire room felt elegant. I wish I could have taken the bathroom home with me! The only negatives would be that the hotel's layout is somewhat confusing and more maps could be placed throughout the hotel indicating "you are here" etc., and the fridges were packed full with beverages you literally could not even pick up and put back down without being charged (nope we're not kidding). It would have been nice to be able to use the fridge for food or our own drinks, etc. All in all we would definately recommend this hotel and we will certainly plan a trip back!

Planet Hollywood Resort Casino has all the action you can handle, with three acres of gaming, a variety of table and slot games, a huge poker room, The Playing Field race and sports book, and the scintillating Pleasure Pit, with beautiful women dealing blackjack, clad in sensual lingerie, while go-go dancers cavort overhead. Great value, would stay here again

  • Tom9
  • 20 May 2012
Our stay at the Imperial Palace was comfortable and a great deal. The beds and room (standard double queen) were clean overall. Everything in the room worked, though the TV was quite old. The air conditioning kept us cool even when it was over 100 degrees outside. There were no noise issues either. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the strip. The front of the hotel/casino is undergoing renovation (as of May 2012) but it wasn't really an issue. General conclusion: not the fanciest hotel but the prices are usually low enough to make up for it and the location can't be beat.

its long been known the Imperial reallllllllly needs to be renovated and it looks as if they have started it in stages....sort of a pain to have to walk way around the building to access main strip but the end result will be worth it. Carpet is old, fixtures are as well but the staff was exceptional, well mannered, and helpful...I rec'd a fantastic rate staying for a trade show by myself...room was very clean as well.....next show I'd stay again...it's right in the middle of everything so location was great!

While introducing contemporary amenities designed to recapture the resort's leading-edge position, The Mirage maintains the exceptional service standards and sophisticated atmosphere that have distinguished it as a AAA Four Diamond Luxury Resort and Casino. Once inside, a sun-lit atrium welcomes you with palm trees towering above waterfalls and pools. Already one of the most elaborate and technically advanced in the world, The Mirage aquarium recently underwent a transformation. New, brighter artificial corals evoke the exotic beauty of such tropical locales as Australia's Great Barrier Reef, while the addition of hundreds of new sea creatures provides a rare glimpse into the aquatic wonders of our planet. The Mirage's 3,044 guest rooms and suites have undergone a $110 million dollar renovation. The new rooms will feature simple lines with an ergonomic design detailed to give a high-end feel, while warm woods and a bold color scheme transport the rooms into the realm of chic. Ultra-modern upgrades and amenities including LCD TVs and iHome MP3 docks provide everything necessary for a truly lavish experience to cater to both the leisure and business traveler (Mirage Events Center offers over 171,000-square-feet of convention space). The Mirage's lush tropical pool area includes two pools, three spas surrounded by waterfalls, private cabanas, and an outdoor cafe. Bare at The Mirage offers an exclusive adult alternative to the typical Las Vegas pool experience. With its distinctive contemporary ambiance and ultra VIP service, Bare is ideal for those wanting to relax, kick-back and socialize or turn up the music and heat up the day. If lounging by the pool leaves you famished, try the wide variety of Fine Dining. From steak and seafood at kokomo's to Italian-American fare at Onda Ristorante, or modern contemporary Japanese cuisine at Japonais. Or, for a more casual setting stop by the Carnegie Deli (the only outpost outside of NYC), Cravings buffet, BLT Burger or the California Pizza Kitchen. For entertainment, Cirque du Soleil's latest creation, "LOVE," showcases the music of The Beatles in a custom-built, multi-million dollar theater. Winner of "America's Got Talent," Terry Fator is the resort's resident impressionist/ventriloquist/singer/comedian. In addition, myriad lounges offer lively libations and live entertainment, and, of course, the tropical-themed casino has a wide variety of slots, video poker, and table games and a race and sports book. *** Guests must be 21 or older to check in. My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Cosmopolitan. It's not going to fall in the value category by any stretch of the imagination but if you want to spoil yourself and indulge in an incredibly posh Vegas experience then the Cosmopolitan is for you. Service is top rate and the hotel room is second to none. The pools are amazing but unless you want to fork out a bundle for a reserved chair or cabana get their early.

The location, staff, and building architecture were far above expectations. The room s balcony overlooking the Belagio fountain is just over the top compared with all the other 5 star hotels. The buffet and Milos dining was excellent, however, the asian, mexican, and Deli that serves hotels guests were below average for high end Vegas standards, The only negative = no coffee maker in the room, no fridge space for drinks (unless you want to take out a consumer loan to finance their fridge and snack choices)

Hypnotist Anthony Cools is back at Paris Las Vegas, using his skills for decidedly evil purposes, tapping into the carnal desires and subconscious naughtiness of his audience, shearing off all inhibitions. Signature stunts in his hilarious and interactive 90-minute show include handshakes that induce vocal, sexual responses, as well as several other tricks so shocking, we can't even print them. Cools pushes the limits of the mind and body, while remaining careful not to embarrass his subjects, a courtesy that has earned him a cult following. Enjoy the lush surroundings of a manicured French garden from a private Pool Villa or Cabana. Cabanas include misters, ceiling fan, sofa bed with coffee table, patio table, 4 patio chairs, 5 padded lounge chairs, refrigerator stocked with soda, juice and water, phone, local/cable TV, fruit basket, newspaper, 2 complimentary raft rentals, pool towels, and cabana host/hostess and food server. Pool Villas are air conditioned rooms with a sunbathing courtyard, and have all these amenities, plus radio/CD player and 32" LCD flat screen TV. Cocktails and Food Service is available. Due to the limited number of Cabanas and Villas, reservations are strongly recommended. With the new Pet Stay Initiative, Paris Las Vegas is now pet friendly! Book special Pet Stay rooms at a slightly increased fee, and stay with your favorite pet. Guests traveling with their dog will be asked to fill out a waiver form accepting responsibility for any damage or cleaning charges that may occur while at the hotel. Dogs are only allowed in specified guestrooms and guests must make reservations in advance to travel with their dog. The hotel only allows dogs that weigh less than 50 pounds and up to two dogs are allowed per room. Please note that guests MUST book the Pet Friendly room category in order to bring their dog on property. *** Guests must be 21 or older to check into this property. *** An additional-person charge will apply to all persons staying in the room, regardless of age. We regret that children cannot stay free. *** PLEASE NOTE- At time of check-in, each individual guest will be required to provide the hotel with a valid credit card or cash deposit in the amount of $100 per each day of guest stay if paying via credit card, or $200 for the entire guest stay if paying via cash (the $200 cash deposit will only activate in-room mopvies and phone)."

Paris Las Vegas

  • Lou123
  • 19 May 2012
We spent four nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The Paris location is great for getting around. Our room was spacious and comfortable. If I had to address one issue it would be the loud music from the Cabaret which permeated the entire casino almost every night so that we had to do our gambling elsewhere.

Awesome wedding destination!

  • 16 May 2012
Overall a near perfect stay! My husband and I flew to Vegas to get married and loved being right in the middle of the Strip! Easy access to everything and everywhere. I had never been to Vegas and booked soley off the information on the website and was very pleased. My only criticism is the cost of meals in the hotel eating establishments. We ended up going out of the hotel for meals. otherwise, it was an awsome experience!

Description
Tropicana Las Vegas redefines the expectations of today's global travelers with a recently completed $180 million transformation which provides a true resort experience. In addition to a vibrant and exciting motif with a South Beach, Miami rhythm and vibe, the transformation of the hotel, resort and casino includes a fresh redesign of every best-in-class room and suite, the casino, the conference center and exhibition hall, several new restaurants, bars, a new poker room, a new race and sports book, and a new spa and fitness center. The look and feel of the new Tropicana is vibrant and exciting, filled with the casual and sultry rhythm of a hot South Beach night. Tropicana Las Vegas is not affiliated with any other Tropicana property or brand. Each new, best-in-class room is styled in a sunset palette of warm shades and appointed custom designed furnishings, plantation shutters, a sleek chaise or workspace desk, king or two queen size ultra-plush Euro Top Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses and 300-thread count linens. In-room entertainment is also transformed with a 42" flat panel plasma TV, an iHome clock radio with a universal docking station and wireless internet. Differing greatly from most of the traditional Las Vegas hotel rooms and suites, Tropicana Las Vegas offers a bright, fresh, comfortable and casual setting accented by soft-colored furnishings. While the Paradise Tower is located near the casino floor and designed for the leisure traveler who wants to be in the heart of Tropicana's hot, new vibe, the 806-room Club Tower's accommodations are a perfect option for business travelers throughout the week and for Nikki Beach Las Vegas clientele on weekends. Each best-in-class room in the Club Tower offers oversized workspaces, free Wi-Fi and is adjacent to Tropicana Las Vegas' Conference Center facilities. There is nowhere else in Las Vegas where you can experience this level of luxury at such affordable rates!

Bathroom has problem

  • chufa
  • 8 May 2012
The hotel was freshly painted with cosmetic improvement and some new furniture recently, but bathroom sink, bathtub, and toilet need to be replaced. Our bathtub paint is peeling off and shower didn't work. However it's clean and comfortable. We asked for a strip view room but got a view of the roof top air condition units on the lower roof top. And hotel asks $25 per night for this! Pool area is too small for the amount of guests. People left towels on the lounge chairs in the morning to occupy the chairs all day. Weekend rate is triple the weekday rate prices. On top of the room rate and taxes, there's an extra resort fee which other hotels don't charge.

Good hotel on the strip

  • null
  • 18 Mar 2012
The Tropicana is one of the smaller strip hotels, staff were efficient and helpful, the amenities were ok. The casino is on the small side and all a bit to bright for me. The poker room (what i went for) was too quiet and frequented mainly by locals. i found myself going to the MGM Grand next door for food, drink and gambling so perhaps should have stayed there. All in all though the Tropicana is fine.

Grand relaxing hotel

  • vegas reviewer
  • 16 May 2012
My husband and I stayed at the Encore for our 10th anniversary. I have stayed at many hotels on the strip in Vegas and the Encore was spectacular. At first I thought the decor was a little over the top red, but when you take in the whole scenery it was vibrant and elegant. The pool was beautiful and relaxing and the staff was excellent. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Pure luxury. The hotel is beautiful. Access to the guest room area is restricted to those carrying a key card. The upgrade to the panoramic view was well worth the money. The Parasol lounge at night was great. The staff was very friendly. Down side is that the tables started at higher stakes, so losing money was fast and the drinks in the bar were way overpriced.

Riviera for pool tourney

  • cheesehead pool player
  • 16 May 2012
I didn't expect much from Riviera because I know it is one of the older hotels on the strip but my purpose was to shoot in the tourney so I didn't care about the extras and that's just what I got. My room view was of the old pool of decades ago - empty with tiles missing. They do have a larger, newer pool in the back but the tall building surround it so if you are planning on sunning long it's not going to work. The nice thing about the pool area is that it is not like the other resorts so if you want a chair to lay on, there are plenty around because hardly anybody uses the area. They are trying their best to make the Riviera look great but there is only so much you can do. If you have a need for just a room and nothing else for a good deal, the Riviera is for you. It's a lot better than Circus Circus.

The hotel was a lot of fun with a lot to do and friendly staff. The staff was very helpful with luggage and housekeeping. I also appreciated having a safe within the room. The downfalls were the pool was closed making it an inconvenience, as well as the lack of microwaves and mini fridges in the rooms. Having a fridge in the room would have made a huge difference.

Martin Heierling, the internationally acclaimed innovator behind Bellagio's AAA Four Diamond restaurant Sensi, serves as executive chef for all of Vdara's food and beverage offerings. Vdara's meeting facilities welcome guests to a world of sophistication as rich in design as it is in technological and culinary offerings. Just outside of Vdara, Nancy Rubins' work of art at CityCenter is a colorful composition of numerous rowboats, kayaks, canoes, small sailboats, surfboards, wind-surf boards, jet skis, paddle boats, catamarans and other small river and ocean vessels that are finessed into a gravity-defying form that is both delicately balanced and precisely engineered. A resort fee of $25 plus tax per night will be collected at the front desk, and includes the following complimentary services: in-suite internet access, 2 bottles of water per room per day, local and 800 number phone calls, access to the Vdara Fitness Center, daily newspaper available at front desk, and nightly turn-down service upon request. Vdara is a great place to stay, perfect suites and perfect location. Great staff and good food, the only thing they need to improve is food at their pool lounge. I will defiantly go there again.

Good Hotel

This hotel was perfect in lots of ways especially the Location and Edward the concierge was very very helpful. Sadly there were a few things that were not quite right for a 5* hotel: 1. There was no tea/coffee in the rooms and no kettle to even make tea or coffee 2. If there is to be a resort charge it should only be charged to the room, only if you use the area. We were charge $20 each day of our stay yet only used the area twice. 3. We were also amazed to find that there was an additional charge of $25 each time to hotel guests for the use of the Steam and Sauna in the spa are. 5. We found some of the staff in the entrance way bar area and coffee shop to be quite rude. 6.11am is far two early for check out in Vegas.

I was pleased to have stayed at this hotel although the sheets had stains on them. I quickly called housekeeper to bring me clean ones and they did. So overall it was a satisfying trip. I do recommend this hotel.
