Home away from Home

My apartment complex put me up here for a week while they re-did my bathroom, and I was very pleased. The room is much larger than expected, there's a fridge and a coffee maker, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and had perfect water pressure, and the internet is free and had great signal. I was even able to print out some things for school - for free. The only cons are that there is no microwave, not many channels on the tv ( thankfully I had dvr set at home!! :oD ), and the fridge froze the hard-boiled eggs I brought from home! Beware of the fridge! Great value, and a nice comfy home away from home.

Only two Problems

I've stayed here before but this time there were two, pretty significant problems. The first was the fact that at no time during my 2 night stay did my keys ever work. They gave me new room keys 4 times and they never worked. They offered to move me but that's a pain and I was in Vegas and rarely in my room so I said, "as long as someone lets me in at night it's okay." The second big issue was the TV, or rather the TV channels. There were only about 12 channels and though I came to Vegas for Super Bowl weekend, there was no ESPN!!! No HBO, Food Network, nothing that I really liked.

Low cost hotel off the strip

I booked this hotel as part of a package deal through a travel site. Upon arrival, I was told that there was no reservation for me. I noticed that this also happened to another reviewer, so I am not sure whether the glitch lies with the travel site or the hotel. Luckily, they did have a room for me. Room was supposed to be non-smoking but reeked of smoke anyway. Overall cleanliness was ok but the carpet had seen better days, and the closet was pretty worn. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport. This is a no frills, low budget hotel. Don't expect luxury. It served the purpose, as I attended a workshop close by.

Great reunion site

We were pleased with the room, site and overall accommodations. One thing was the restaurant/bar was under staffed and hard to get good service, although the people who worked, did try hard. We would stay again.

Going down hill

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times but it seems to be going down hill, I like to stay in the small hotels because I like to be able to walk right out to my car without having to walk through a big casino, the breakfast buffet was not available because of my stay during the week, it just seems that the hotel is going down hill but is still not bad.

Good value choice

I was looking for a clean room near the Convention Center at a good price, and overall that's what I got. The hotel overall seemed like it could use an update, but the room and common areas were clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping was good although sometimes they missed smaller details. The pool and spa area were pretty nice; the only problem for me was that there wasn't much shade, so I didn't last long out there during the middle part of the day. It's located a ways from the Strip, but there is a bus stop across the street and a monorail station a block away. I had no trouble getting around, and I'd just as soon not stay on the Strip anyway. The place was nice and quiet the whole time I was there. The only thing I really had a problem with was the lobby/casino/bar area; it reeked of cigarette smoke at all hours of the day, even when the staff left the outside doors open to air it out. This may not bother some people but for me it was really nasty, so I spent as little time there as possible. The food at the bar/cafe might have been good, but I had no desire to stay there long enough to find out. Anyway, this was the best deal I could find within walking distance of the Convention Center and on the whole I was satisfied. It may not be much to look at but it was comfortable enough, and I was there for 7 nights.

Easy

I have stayed at this hotel before with no problems but this time they did not have the breakfast buffet so had to go into the bar for breakfast and that was over priced for what it was and the service was slow and not all that good. The room was OK for the most part but there was a big water stain on the ceiling. I do like this hotel because you don't have to walk through a big casino to get to your room but I could have got one in a casino for half the cost which I may do next time.
