Lots of Construction, but a fun getaway
We did have a great experience at this hotel, it was a little farther from the strip than expected but it was a short cab ride to the other side.

A really good value.
The facilities are a little "long on the tooth", but everyone was very good to us. We felt like it was an extremely good place to stay considering the low price we paid. One thing though; apparently there's no WiFi in the rooms or anywhere in the building except in one back corner (which one of the employees clued us in on).

This hotel has seen its prime. Amenities are not really included in the cost, the pyramid rooms are tiny and our only had a shower instead of a bath. The linens and soap are two star level. The location is still good, of course. It just doesn't seem like they are trying anymore - certainly not a luxury experience.

Luxor, aged but still a great value.
While in Vegas for work or play you never spend a great deal of time in your room,so Luxor works just fine. While the decor has aged, it was spotlessly clean, and what makes this the best bargain was the staff. From the check-in to check -out the service was excellent. People smile and are eager to help. They food was a most pleasant surprise. So try this spot the next time you are in Vegas.

Alpine Spirit
Luxor
This was a great resort, the only downside was getting the cheapest room available. No view, needs updating (carpet had pulls, can lights were loose in the ceiling, bathroom needed to be re caulked). Keep in mind I do Real Estate so I pick these things out pretty fast, the wife never even noticed them. The staff was amazing, food is excellent, learn where the tram access is and save yourself some walking around!!! In short... get 1 upgrade of a room, because I would still go back.

Luxor - New Zealand view
We exprienced lengthy delays at check in and during our stay noticed there were always ques waiting to check in and check out. Need more staff at the front desk and also the staff need to be "retrained" in explaining where everything is including better instructions on where your room is!! For people making their first visit the instruction/introduction to the Luxor is of a very average quaility.

Luxor Hotel and Casino
We really liked this hotel, a little bit on the older side, but it was still very nice inside. We loved how we had access to, mandalay bay and the excalabor with out having to exit the front of the casino, we thought that was really neat, we didnt have to walk outside, because it was fairly cold. Our only complaint is they have a very annoying practice alarm that rings throughout the casino and rooms. Very stardling, not something nice to wake up to. other than that, i would stay here agani.

Great as usual!
Stayed there again....for the 3rd time... Pyramid room, 27th floor. Even though i checked in earlier ( 11am) they did not charge anything eaxtra $$$$$ for that. Swimming pool area is closed during the winter season. However you are allowed to sunbathe and swim in Excalibur hotel. Overall-GREAT !!! Will get back again!
