Just so, so

It was not bad for the low price in strip. But the lights in lobby were not so bright ,that made the hotel dark and poor. The faucet in the bathroom should be changed. It needs some renovatition in general.

Luxor Resort

Don't stay here the place smells like fake sandlewood to cover up the smoke rather have the smoke smell since the fake smell make you feel sick. The steak room tender was not tender my steak was not good service was not good many things on the menu were not available. Plus the smell in the place makes you not feel like eating. Spend some more money or stay off the strip but don't stay at the Luxor.

Luxor review

This hotel is not bad, just lacking. The interior of elevator's, room's and hallways is substandard. A little beaten up, but clean. Perhaps for the price we paid, we should have expected this, but really, I believe we could have done better. It was somewhat disappointing. They 'upgraded' us to a room with a jacuzzi that did not work (and that was not mentioned), and later said they had not worked for a year. Not very impressive. We will not stay at the Luxor again, at this point.

Good place to stay

Overall had a good experience, I felt it was a little far from the main strip though. Dealers are friendly, drinks are good, but if you're sitting at a slot machine, good luck getting a drink. The bar makes fresh bloody Mary mix daily, so be sure to grab one...they are great. Several different places to eat, so you really don't have to travel from the hotel if you're a home body. Just be careful walking around as there are tons of sales people and pushers trying to sell timeshares at every corner of the casino level. It becomes quite annoying to after the first day, and I started to feel like I was being chased around a retail store by a college kid trying to earn commission. I would consider staying here again for the price, and the cleanliness of the room, but I think staying a little farther down the strip is in the cards for our next visit.

First time, but not last

My wife and I live in Vegas, but we enjoy to get away from things on occasion and stay somewhere on the Strip. This time we chose the Luxor - neither of us had ever stayed there before, and I've always wanted to just because of how unique it is compared to all the other hotels/casinos in Vegas. We're very glad we did. The room wasn't huge, but it was a nice size for the 2 of us, the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, and the room itself was very quiet. We were fortunate to be no more than 40 feet from the elevator, which is always nice, and the view out the window every morning when we woke up was of the Mandalay Bay. We really liked the convenience of being able to walk to the Excalibur or Mandalay Bay without going outside. It was kind of windy and chilly this past weekend, so that definitely came in handy. I can easily see us staying here again, especially if we can get a good deal.

Interesting expierence..

This was my first time in Las Vegas, I expected more, the room was average and it wasn't anything special. the room I stayed in had blood on the walls and all over the bathroom tile and shower. I had to call room service several times to come and clean it. but the view from the room was amazing.. overall not such a good hotel.. but you get what you pay for.
