Recent Las Vegas Stay - Luxor
When I made my reservation, I was informed that I would receive a $30 food credit that could be used at participating restaurants. When I attempted to use my card on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, either the restaurants were booked or no one was willing to serve me. I waited 45 minutes at the Steakhouse and no one took my order. The staff literally forgot about me. I gave my $30 coupon when I left Luxor to the staff at the comp desk. I hope one of them will be able to use the certificate. BTW – I rarely drink, so using the certificate at one of the bars was not an option. I want to direct your attention to your bathroom facilities. When I walked in the Men's Room in the casino, I found a large quantity of vomit in not one but two of the stalls in the men's room. It made me want to vomit. I also saw an empty beer can floating in one of the toilets. I am not sure what else to say. I also want to tell you about the maids. I was woken up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday not by my alarm clock but by the maids who were laughing and giggling next door. When I post a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door, I expect quiet. On Saturday and Sunday, they also knocked on my door while the "Do Not Disturb" sign was in place. This was incredibly rude and inconsiderate. My final issue is the resort fee. I would like to know where the wireless internet was. I tried several times to get wireless internet via my telephone, laptop, etc. No network was available. I tried calling the front desk but there was no answer. When I walked downstairs, I noticed the long line of people who were checking-in and checking-out. I figure that those folks were busy. I also want you to be aware that the gentleman who checked me in did not provide me with an internet password, network address, etc. I am not exactly sure what the resort fee covered. I did not have a car; it was cold so swimming was not an option (especially in the winter); and I am asthmatic so exercise is not an option. I came to Las Vegas to stay at your hotel and gamble. I saw a lot of folks who were not staying at Luxor who were enjoying your facilities but not paying any fees.

Clean, comfortable, simple.
Nothing too fancy at this hotel. You can tell the pyramid rooms are a little dated, but they're spacious and the bed is soooo comfortable. Bring your own conditioner and shampoo - what they offer isn't that great in quality. Otherwise, a great time and a great value to be had!

Good but not great
We stayed in a Pyramid room. It was fine but dated. The room was clean. The second room that we booked for my in-laws did not have functional air conditioning (in August!). I had to escalate to a manager to get them moved into a different non-smoking room (all the front desk offered was smoking - which was not acceptable). The only other small issue was the amount of time it took to check-in. The line was immensely long and they did not staff all of the check-in positions. They need to improve this. We got a great rate so I would still say this was a good value.

Luxor in july
The experience was pleasant. Didn't spend much time in the room, but was nice to have a place to come back to. The air conditioner wouldn't get cool enough, and having an ipod dock would make the room that much better. Thanks for the stay!

Luxor not a bang for the back
I expected a spa room for a spa room price, received a spa room, but could not use the the jacuzzi because of the jets. Room was dirty, open the bathroom door and behind the door was dirt, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, paint peeling, wall paper peeling. The coffee table had white gobs of ?? on them. Peel back the dust ruffle, and there are dust bunnies and other former tenants trash. Bathroom door was dirty. Furniture was well worn and dated. Was told 3/4 of the way through the stay we should use a rewards card from the hotel..?? Food in the restaurant was high priced cardboard. Valet parking at night a nightmare......Had to get out of the car and go find a person to find out what was going on. Especially on our arrival. Have stayed here now four times and my experience is getting worse and worse. Next time new hotel

Not bad at all
I booked this hotel in a hurry and then read the reviews and was worried but this place isnt bad at all. The outside and inside of the pyramid is spectacular. The hotel floors and rooms are not that great. They are old and outdated but clean and adequate. And in vegas you dont spend much time in the room. The hotel is within walking distance to all the newer casinos. Most of them are all connected through indoor walk ways. The staff was very friendly. The price was more than fair even with the added resort fee which almost all the hotels charge. The ones that do not charge a resort fee are double in price. The hotel is definitely 4 star however the rooms are not. But I would recommend to friends.

Luxor
Far end of the Strip -- not as luxe as Cosmopolitan, Venetian, Bellagio or Cesaers Palace and starting to feel like a dated Disney theme resort, but the rooms were quite nice. Bathroom only had a shower, no tub and would be something you'd expect in a Holiday Inn. But the rest of the room with the King bed, large flat screen, and Egyptian themed armoir was nice. Only complaint -- during a 2-day stay, room service never picked up a tray left in the hall and housekeeping didn't clean up the glasses filled with cigarette butts by the elevators.
