Quarterly visit to Las Vegas

The Hotel is OK. The rooms are nice size and clean but the noise level is high due to it's location. The parking garage is absolutely disgusting as is the elevator from the garage to the casino.

Shady, not for families

We gave the Plaza a shot, have never stayed down town in the last 26 years. Most of the staff had no idea about anything in the hotel, or everyone had a different answer about the same question. The hotel Casino area was run down and always filled with shady characters. Don't even know why they bothered to have security. The rooms were nice, but I'm pretty sure there was minimal cleaning going on. The first day we had dropped a small taco chip in the walk way by the bathroom, I purposely left it there and it stayed there for 3 days. The bathroom floor was sticky the whole time. Downtown Freemont St has always had a carnival atmosphere but there are more and more almost naked circus Freaks. Not a family area.

Family trip

It was good value for the money. Food choices could be more. Soap need to be reminded for replenishment. I met a friend at west gate and was attracted to luxury and presentation out there. Plaza should try to be at least half off it for the price!

great trip.

For the price, it was a great stay! the beds werent comfortable, but other than that, the room was updated and great... would have loved to have a fridge/iron....Loved having hash house a go go downstairs. we were there for five days and ate there 3 times... customer service was wonderful in the hotel. only downside is we felt badgered by the homeless people on fremont street. coming from new orleans and used to that whole scene, it was actually pretty frightening being name called because we wouldn't give our money to them. this negative aspect has nothing to do with plaza however...just fremont street.

Plaza review

We gave stayed in Plaza Hotel several times before and like it's convenience of being able to go to Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas with out having to dive around to find parking and near by cafes and casinos are across the street. We have usually been put in South Tower, but had rooms in North Tower for the first time and North Tower rooms seemed a lot newer and nicer. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The only complaint was all the trash in parking lot and parking elevators were slow, but hotel part was great!

You get what you pay for

Positives first great location, cheap price, easy to get to, and can walk to anywhere downtown. Negatives light in bathroom didn't work, sink wouldn't drain more than a trickle, lamps very unsteady, bathroom very small, bed was as hard as a rock. If you can spend more, do it. If you want value for just a few hours sleep, the place is perfect
