The Plaza is back!

perfect hotel for my buddy and I. I love downtown... people so much more real than on the strip so I stay here whenever I can. I've been coming 5-6 times a year to Las Vegas over the last 32 years and watched The Plaza transform. It still has a ways to go... I'd like to see them further re-work and design the casino area...it's just not that much fun to gamble here like it is at The D or Binions or Golden Gate all which have better party atmosphere's. Another plus is one of my fav restaurants is at the hotel- Hash House a Go Go... don't miss it

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk East on Fremont street and after the covered area ends cross continuing East until you get to "Container Park." Had the best rated BBQ in all of Las Vegas and when the sun went down they had a free screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Fabulous!

Frequent LV gambler

Stayed in at least 20 different hotels in LV either on Fremont or on The Strip over last 10 years. My room was just as nice as the $100+ a night hotels on the strip or perhaps it was even nicer. Everthing was brand new/looked new and very modern/up to date. Very impressed considering I only paid a total of $40 a night for this hotel. Great location, free parking and free WIFI. Maybe not the best pool lounging area but I wasn't there to use the pool and I only paid $40 total including all taxes and resort fees. If you want a clean, affordable, great location to stay in..... this is the place to be.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

If you want to save money go to TIX FOR 2NITE at the 4 Queens entrance on Fremont. You'll get great discounts to shows, attractions, tours, dining and more. This will save you alot of money and the staff is very knowledgable of everything they sell.

Grand canyon hike recuperation

Stayed here after hiking South Kibob into and Bright Angel out of the Grand Canyon with my wife and adult kids. Good location, close to Fremont but without the noise of Fremont. Bad Casino seems dead. Few tables, bad odds on craps. Good Sports book. No hash browns at breakfast just home fries. A true Vegas breakfast has hashbrowns IMO Nice new clean rooms close to parking. Good price. This hotel needs a walkway or skyway across main street to make it feel more connected. It would do better business.

Nice room!

Never stayed in downtown Vegas before. I was there for a wedding this past Labor Day weekend. Room was not what I expected. It was actually really nice for the old Plaza casino/hotel. Price was higher than normal since it was a holiday weekend. But I used promo code when I booked so I got about 40 bucks off. Not bad! Lots of older people tho I must say but other than that. It was a great stay.

Nice hotel, but not the best location

We stay at this hotel from August'16-August'18. It is a pretty old hotel, but still very nice and clean. It's located at downtown Las Vegas - not too bad, but it is way too far - about 15 mins drive! to Bellagio Fountains and all other entertainment stuff. No way you could walk - so you will have to pay for a taxi around 20$ one way. I will give to this hotel 5 Stars, but if you don't have a car - location of this hotel is really not the best. We paid around $60 for a room with king size bed - we love the price. Everybody was very nice and helpful at this hotel. Good place to stay for sure.
