Awesome Weekend
We wanted a fun trip for my fiance's 30th birthday. The Top of the World restaurant was definitely top notch...it left us all in amazement with the view and how great the food was! The restaurant was the one that made the trip so great!

Everything was fine
In general, great value, good deal -- nice place. BUT: Loud HVAC; one dirty drawer with leftover food, etc. in it -- need to improve housekeeping department there, and fix the HVAC

Great Hotel
I have zero complaints about this hotel. I would have to rate the beds as the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. We will stay there again for sure.

Good hotel for budget minded people
Good hotel to stay if you want be away (but not too far) from the crazyness of the south strip casinos, nightclubs and the sea of people! The room did not have a coffee maker nor a minifridge and I think the hot water temp is regulated when you take a shower; other than that it was O.K. The staff were friendly and Roxy's diner was very convenient. The view of L.V. from the Tower was awesome! Did not use the other amenities.

Short drive from hotel
The glitz and glamour starts about 2 miles south of the Stratosphere but be prepared to bring a lot of money because almost everything is very expensive!

Nickle and Dimed to Death
We got a great room rate but upgraded to one of the newer remodeled rooms at check in, add $22 daily. Add in wifi $12 daily and resort fee $7.50 daily. Nothing is included...no continental breakfast, no coffee even. Coffee is $3 a cup. Bottled water from a vending machine is $2.50. I needed to print a one page document and assumed I could email it to the hotel to print - wrong! I had to use the kiosk at the Starbucks in the hotel $1 per minute ($5 min) and $1 per page to print. My doc was in a format the computer didn't understand, so my friend had to run to the room to convert it and resend. Cost to print one sheet of paper = $10. The buffet was not good. I'm not a picky eater, but nothing had flavor. It was weird actually. If you want to do a great buffet go to Wynn. Roxy's wasn't bad and there is a McDonalds and a Mexican restaurant upstairs for budget meals. I assume they were budget...but I never ate there. I did pay $4 for a large bottled water at the subway inside the hotel...so who knows. The shopping center was sad with many vacancies and few shoppers. The hotel staff was nice, the room was nice and clean (although it smelled of smoke and was supposed to be smoke-free), the view from the tower was outstanding. Bottom line....I thought I was booking a fairly nice hotel for a budget price. But after you add in the basic stuff that should be complimentary (wifi/coffee/etc)...It was not that much of a bargain.

Nice hotel for the price !!
Be prepared to dish out almost 20.00 each way if you want to take a cab to the strip, not far but cab fares will get you. Ride the Deuce instead for only about $7.00 a day . There is a fee of $11.99 for the use of WiFI be aware.

Price is good for plain accommodations. Service was above avaerage. Good restaurant choices. Room was a newer remodeled room at a good price but was not super clean. Location was great for my destination but was a more downtown than on the strip. No coffee in the room but Iron, shampoo, soap ... was all provided. Pillows, towels and sheets all seem new and were very nice.
