Great overall experience

We picked the Stratosphere for the rides and the view of the Strip. The rides at the top were fantastic and provided quite the adrenaline rush! You are literally as high as the helicopters that fly around giving tours. The lounge on the 107th floor provided the most spectacular view of the city, especially at night. Our room was OK, a little dated, but the bed was fine and we weren't really looking for anything great since you don't go to Vegas to sleep! The location is a little far from the rest of the action, but we took the monorail everywhere (its closest stop is a block away) and it took us no time at all to get down to the action. We had a great time!

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

We would totally recommend buying an unlimited monorail pass for the duration of your stay. It starts at the time you purchase it and goes for the # of hours you buy (24, 48, etc.) You can get on and off quickly, and saves $$$ compared to taking a cab from the Stratosphere down to the Strip. We made several trips between the Stratosphere and down to the Strip much quicker than we would have waiting on a cab to navigate through busy Strip traffic. You also get a different view of the city from behind the main casinos on the Strip.

My 50th Birthday

Hotel wasperfect, cost of taxi`s down the strip were very high maybe the hotel should put a mini bus on every hour this would help in costs and make the hotel at the far end of the strip more attractive.

we usually stay at other high end hotels/casinos on the strip, but thought we would try this one.....all was ok - but housekeeping bad! had to call housekeeping several times to remind them to bring clean towels, soap, etc - should not have to do this.

I like this place

When I arrived at registration I found that they classified rooms booked though cheaptickts as 12 and below. So the highest floor you will be on is the 12th (i think it goes up to 21-22 floors). This is kind of a bummer because you end up getting a view of the parking garage because you are not high enough to get over it. Other then that one gripe, I think this hotel is great. I paid extra to be in the Select tower so I don't have a clue about the other towers, but the Select tower rooms are pretty decent. The room is smallish but everything is new, has a flat screen, etc. One annoyance to me is they didn't have those foldouts that you can put your luggage on. Also the maid skipped my room once day and I called housekeeping to complain. After that it seemed like my room was cleaned early everyday.

Excellent Stay for off strip Vegas Hotel

We (myself and 3 friends) went to Las Vegas for 4 nights and 3 days during the week and stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino. The Casino was a quite nice, although not as big as some of the major strip casino's, it did offer plenty of gambling choices. The Buffet was excellent, with lots of good food for a very fair price in Las Vegas these days. Our room, which had 2 queen size beds was spacious, clean and the hotel staff keep it quite clean. The only negative was that the bathroom lighting was very dim and the GFI kept tripping and had to keep being reset or the lights for the entire bathroom area were out. There was also an issue in the second room with lamps not working properly. Other than that, everything else was great. It's a great off strip hotel, with a great price that you can't beat. Plus, as we found, it's only about 2 blocks from the monorail that takes you all the way down to all the strip hotels and casinos, so it's very accessible too! We would definitely stay here again!

Great for one night!

We only had one night as we were catching a flight out the next day, but the staff at the front desk were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Ate burgers from Ruby's Diner which were delicious!! Easy express check-out via the TV was great, so we didn't have to wait in line with our infant twins. We'd love to come back and stay longer next time!

Fun getaway

Hotel was good, clean and friendly. Little too far from the buzz but local bus was cheap and regular. Ate in two restaurants in the hotel and both were good quality. The Frankie Moreno show was very entertaining.
