First Vegas Trip

We booked non smoking but they gave us a smoking room. We tried to switch they said none was open but the made told us they were lying they were opens rooms. We had to deal with it and my wife gets sick with smoke smell. We had to carry our own bags no one offered to help and we had no direction. Only had 4 or 5 restaurants compared to all the other hotels having a lot.

Nice, but watch the charges!

Hotel is very nice. Check in was a little bit of a wait, but the atmosphere was good. Everything was great until I got hit with a $61 dollar charge for 3 US phone calls, total talk time about half an hour. Not great. Otherwise a good hotel, just watch the extra charges.

The good and the ugly of our stay at TI

Hotel is in a good, central location, the rooms are dated and need updating(i.e.. Bathroom has tub light but no fan, hopper had a leak). Halls and casino strongly smelled of a odor eater intended to kill smoke smell. It is the only hotel that had the smell.Room and bathroom cleanliness was questionable, mirrors had hair on them(probably wiped with dirty cloth). Would rather spend a little more and stay at the Mirage or Paris. Casino was not very appealing, tables and slots did not appear to be good values(tables at Harrahs, Sahara, and slots at Ceasars were much better).

Very Disappointing

Treasure Island has no concept of customer service. We could have gotten more amenities at a Motel 6. The fitness room was closed, so they had a tiny replacement room with about 5 pieces of equipment. There was no complimentary coffee, water or tea. No free internet. For 14.99 you could purchase 24 hours of unsecured internet access. I recommend staying along Fremont street or at a business hotel. Total waste of money.

Poor customer Service

Great location, great beds. Rediculous resort fee and horrible service anytime we had a question. closed pool early, but still charged 20/day resort fee. Very strong smell in hotel. Have stayed at MGM grand and would stay there hands down over Treasure Island. Won't stay there again.

Could be a better hotel.

Didn't like much. first night they sent me to a diferent hotel because they overbooked the rooms. Also, we waited more than 45 minutes to check in, because they did not have enuff employes working there. It has a great potencial to be a excelent hotel, just need a better administration.

Treasure Island

The location of the hotel was great and the outside show was incredible. The smell in the hotel lobby and casino was overpowering and would burn your eyes it was so strong. Additional expenses were added even though we did not need them (internet access, spa pass and paper) - $67!! I would not stay there again BUT the rooms were nice. I called in advance to request a room but was told I could not do that. When I arrived, I had a smoking room on the back of the hotel right at the elevators. People stood outside of our door for more than 3 hours screaming and yelling at 1AM in the morning. We were able to change rooms the following day.

Great Location, meh hotel

We stayed here for 4 nights. The room was small but nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. They charged a $20/night resort fee which is ridiculous. The restaurants are expensive. For example, at Canter's Deli we paid $12 for a club sandwich and $3 for a Coke (no refill). That expensive deli is the only place to grab a quick bite. The other restaurants require you to be seated. However, the location was great. The bus stops in front of the hotel. There is a Walgreen's right across the street (you can't cross, you have to take a bridge across). We stayed at New York, New York last year and I found that to be a better value.

Do your search b/f you get there

Two good friends; we took our moms with us to have a great time in Vegas. We stayed in TI for 6 nights... Except the location, nothing is good about the hotel. Unfriendly staff. They come and knock your door at 8:00 am if you forget to put "do not disturb sign"!!!!Weird people. Hotel charges $22.65 per room per day for internet, paper, gym and for someother stuff [you like it or not]: 1. No way to use the internet unless you have your own laptop [the keyboard they put in rooms is useless]. 2.I ask for a paper [only one day] and they told me they are out of paper!!![the paper I have paid for already]. 3.Hotel is not clean. Our towels had all kinds of stains.... 4.They keep my credit card open for extras but there was nothing in the room [no water, fridge/drinks or even a coffee machine] for extras..
