In addition to a vibrant and exciting motif with a South Beach, Miami rhythm and vibe, the transformation of the hotel, resort and casino includes a fresh redesign of every best-in-class room and suite, the casino, the conference center and exhibition hall, several new restaurants, bars, a new poker room, a new race and sports book, and a new spa and fitness center.

The look and feel of the new Tropicana is vibrant and exciting, filled with the casual and sultry rhythm of a hot South Beach night. Tropicana Las Vegas is not affiliated with any other Tropicana property or brand.

Each new, best-in-class room is styled in a sunset palette of warm shades and appointed custom designed furnishings, plantation shutters, a sleek chaise or workspace desk, king or two queen size ultra-plush Euro Top Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses and 300-thread count linens. Tropicana

I thouroughly enjoyed Staying at the Tropicana, you can tell is has all been re done, and it looks fab, is clean and is easy to get around. I personally prefered it to the larger Hotel of the MGM, where my conference was being held, as it was a little bit smaller. Not so easy to get lost!! Overall it was all good, and the food was fab in the Beach bar.

Bathroom has problem

The hotel was freshly painted with cosmetic improvement and some new furniture recently, but bathroom sink, bathtub, and toilet need to be replaced. Our bathtub paint is peeling off and shower didn't work. However it's clean and comfortable. We asked for a strip view room but got a view of the roof top air condition units on the lower roof top. And hotel asks $25 per night for this! Pool area is too small for the amount of guests. People left towels on the lounge chairs in the morning to occupy the chairs all day. Weekend rate is triple the weekday rate prices. On top of the room rate and taxes, there's an extra resort fee which other hotels don't charge.

great time

was good throughout. A little out of the way from the front desk to the elevators through a long corridor over the pool. I as well as my friend didn't care for the loud music at poolside, not the choice of music, more the volume level that made a conversation harder to have over the music. food at the poolside cafe was excellent. overall, a pleasant experience and I would not be afraid to book another room at the trop.

book your comedy or other shows early allowing enough time to travel the distance. Las vegas blvd. may seem shorter as the crow flies, but double your time expectations because traffic is a problem.

Excellent hotel!

We stayed at the Tropicana hotel for one week in July 2011. Reviews were somewhat mixed though we decided to give it a try. We were very pleased with our choice. It was newly renovated, clean, comfortable and in a good location. It has its own casino which is handy. It is right next to MGM and opposite Luxor which means its at the beginning of the strip, however, the walk is not bad once you get going. We would definitely stay there again.

South strip bargain hotel

We had a hotel/airflight combo that was a real deal. The room was great with a view of Excalibur, Mandalay Bay and the Luxor. Great room, fabulous pool and great group of in house restaurants. One night my sister did not feel well and I was wandering around inside the hotel feeling very safe. Every staffer from the check in people to the car rental people were helpful and cheery. We will be back!

Great Hotel

The staff overall were great, although you normally had to find someone to help you if you had a problem on the casino floor. The breakfast had doubled in price from the last time we were there (outrageous). Not worth $20 each. After all it was just a breakfast. The room was clean and tidy.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

If you take a short walk towards the airport, away from the strip, you will find "Coco's". The food was great, cheap and the staff were really friendly. Great place to eat with normal prices.

Not Again

The hotel is right in the center of where you want to be in Vegas where many activities and shows are. The hotel itself smells of smoke throughout along with a strong scent of coconut which is probably an attempt at covering up the smoke. The air condition in the room did not work which made for an uncomfortable room. The was an extra charge of $15/day for internet and a $20/day if you wanted a small refridgerator. There is a Long walk of about a quarter-mile from entrance to the building where your room is making it difficult on all and time consuming. The front desk staff also needs lessons in customer service. All in all, we found this hotel lacking in many ways and way over priced. We will not stay there again.

Fantastic show at Caesar's, the purpose of the trip.

We were on the 11th floor and had a wonderful view of the strip. The room was beautiful. The strip is so exciting when lighted up at night. The hotel/casino has been remodeled since I stayed there before and it is beautiful.

You can take the special Strip bus to Old Town for $7.00 and ride for 24 hours up and down the strip. Saves your poor feet. Nice new buses.

Good value at the south end of the strip.

We stayed here based on online reviews, location, and price. The hotel charges a $15 daily resort fee, which is a blatant ploy to advertise low rates. Its apparently generated enough complaints to warrant a card explaining it covers wireless Internet, local calls, fitness centre access, and 2 for 1 cocktails at the hotel bars – items typically included at most hotels. We'd have preferred the option to opt out. The hotel towers are a long hike from the self parking lot – plan at least ten minutes to walk along one side of the hotel, through the lobby / casino, up an escalator, and down a connecting corridor to the elevator bank. The room was clean and recently renovated but lacked amenities such as fridge or microwave.
