From Gondolas to gourmands, a city of remarkable delights
With all-suite accommodations, an array of entertainment, and incredible dining and diversion, Venetian Las Vegas is a worthy destination all its own, even with the Strip just beyond the doors. A faithful homage to Europe's crown jewel that includes a quarter-mile Grand Canal complete with gondoliers, The Venetian is also far more than a theme resort. The list includes TAO Beach and Nightclub, Canyon Ranch SpaClub, Grand Canal Shoppes and Madame Tussauds. The Venetian also shares amenities and dining with the connected Palazzo resort.
Highlights
- The Venetian Las Vegas will come alive with the fantasy, food, fun and romance of Italy during Carnevale. This is a three-month celebration of Italy's summer festival from 27 May to 08 September 2013. Based on the highly successful premier in 2012, the festival will be expanded with new events and special new experiences exclusively for the guests.
- Gondola rides both inside and out on the quarter-mile Grand Canal replica
- The exclusive TAO Beach and Nightclub
- Star chef dining options from the likes of Mario Batali, Thomas Keller, Wolfgang Puck and more
- Gorgeous, private club-like poker room
Rooms
Redecorated, unique split-level Venetian Luxury suites start at 650 square feet with king size, pillow top beds and two 32" plasma screens, a full living area, mini-bar and motorized curtains over floor-to-ceiling windows. In true Venetian style, the luxury continues in large bathrooms featuring twin sinks, a separate tub and shower and Agraria bath products. Some Venetian suites include sofa sleepers. Several larger suites are available. Wi-Fi Internet access is included in the resort fee.
Features
Surrounded by replicas of the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Campanile Tower, and St. Mark's Square, guests can't escape the romance of Venice at Venetian, nor do they want to. Where else can you get married on an exquisitely handcrafted wedding gondola? Along the Grand Canal, enjoy a serenade from a gondolier, catch the "streetmosphere" performers or shop the more than 80 international boutiques.More entertainment at Venetian Las Vegas includes the Broadway smash musical Rock of Ages and Australia's critically acclaimed quartet, Human Nature. The Venetian's 134,000-square-foot Ranch Spa – one of the biggest on the Strip – moves beyond the norm with an impressive fitness center, rock climbing wall and cafe. Prepare for more grand scale amenities at Venetian's 5-acre, year-round pool deck featuring three pools, a hot tub, plenty of chaises, and cocktail and food service (cabanas for a fee). Gaming at the opulent casino does not disappoint with handheld gaming devices, a refined poker room and large race and sports book lounge. Guests can also catch shows of Rita Rudner.
The Venetian Theatre welcomes country music superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Join the artists at their Soul2Soul shows in the intimate setting of The Venetian Theatre (formally The Phantom Theatre). Tickets go on sale Monday, August 13th, show dates range from December 2012 to April 2013.
Dining
The Venetian's solid list of dining options leads with Thomas Keller's Bouchon, Mario Batali's B&B Ristorante, Wolfgang Puck's Postrio, Tom Maloney's Aquaknox, Emeril Lagasse's Delmonico Steakhouse and Piero Selvaggio's Valentino, as well as many Asian options. For breakfast or weekend brunch, don't miss the Grand Luxe Cafe. Guests also find an above-average food court with eateries like Nathan's, Johnny Rockets and Canonita Express.

Beautiful but High $!
The hotel and the rooms were absolutely gorgeous! The staff were polite and the hotel was in an excellent location, right in the middle of the strip. The pool was beautiful but was mainly for lounging, not for swimmers, go figure. I did not like that they only leave two towels a day, when there are two people. This is the shocking event that took place because of that: I called one morning to get a couple more because I was ready to get my day started and they hadn't brought them yet. I waited for like an hour and decided to get in anyway. of course while I'm in the tub someone finally knocks on the door with them. I go to get out the tub with a hand-towel covering me, and at the same time, that person actually opened my bathroom door!!! I slammed it shut and told them to leave it on the floor, shocked & in disbelief! I still can't believe that! With that aside, it is a great hotel and i do recommend it. If you want to save money on things like food and drinks, its not cheap. the refrigerator in the suite is actually weight-sensored, so if you move anything you are actually charged. That would be fine if it wasn't so pricey. For example, Fiji water was $1 at a store down the road, but the one in your fridge was like $8! seriously! Also, there is no buffet in the hotel, and breakfast is about $15 per person if you eat there. I loved that Maddame Trussauds was right there, that was awesome! One other thing, i know our room wasn't cleaned in 3 days bc a bottle cap stayed on the floor, in visible site for that long!

Short walk from hotel
There are The Duece bus stops all over the strip, this can save you a lot of time! It is like $3 one way but you can get a 24 hr pass for $7 or a 3day pass for $15! You mind as well buy the 3 day pass if your going to be there that long, because its too hot to walk for long periods of time there! Also, you can get an all-day, all-you can eat buffet for $25 at Excalibur! Oh, and don't forget to do the Fremont Street experience, its a blast!

"Awesome" Very classie place!
Only complaints would be: Lack of a coffee maker or a small fridge in the room. Towels were kinda scarce after maid service came thru. Other than that: Very nice experience! Service was good and relatively fast when we called the desk and needed help.Check in staff were a little unfriendly but everyone else seemed great.

Three nights in Vegas
After spending two nights at the Grand Canyon we spent three nights in Las Vegas as part of a family vacation. I chose the Venetian based on my experience there during a business trip last year. Since I planned on playing poker, the Venetian was a great choice. It was even better that Phantom is located in the same hotel. The experience was great. The room was great. Everything would have been a five star experience except for the following: 1) I tried to check-in 45 minutes before official check-in. The room was not ready, which was fine since we were early. The problem is the room was not ready for one hour past check-in. I understand I chose a larger suite which limits the number of suites they could offer, but they mentioned a view suite was available but I would have to pay for the upgrade. In my opinion they should have had a room available by check-in time or given me the free upgrade. 2) Once we settled in the room one of the two sinks in the bathroom was backed up. After a few minutes the bathroom started to smell. I tried calling the front desk, but it took about fifteen minutes on hold before getting a live person on the phone. After I got a hold of someone they sent someone over and everything was fixed within the hour. Everything after the initial problems was perfect, hence the 4 out of 5 star rating.

Rooms nice, but
What we liked: Very nice, clean, quiet and modern rooms. What we didn't like: self park location and lack of CLEAR directions to check-in. They make you walk all over the parking structure looking for the entrance to the casino for registration. They also make the labeling of the elevator difficult to find where you need to go. Then they make you look like the tourist that you are traipsing through the casino a very long distance to find registration. Signage in the Casino is terrible. (I know this is the norm for casinos because the point is to keep you disoriented and playing, but it's just a pain!) Concierge service was spotty, having long lines in the very few times it was staffed. Restaurants closed TOO early. Most by 11. Their coffee shop is very nice and has a great menu, but most other restaurants in the resort do not accommodate vegetarians... at all.

Nice hotel
Very nice, very clean, very quiet and very enjoyable. My only concern was that the hotel was so classy it was difficult to find a cheap restaurant inside it. I was a bit disappointed there was not any restaurant with an Eat as much as you can buffet like there are in many other Las Vegas hotels.

The Venetian
It didn't seem like the room payment covered very much. We still had many additional charges for basic services: internet, gym access, late check-out, etc. This was very frustrating. I think we would have enjoyed a broader range of restaurants (in terms of economics). Not everything is accessible to all guests.
