From Gondolas to gourmands, a city of remarkable delights
With all-suite accommodations, an array of entertainment, and incredible dining and diversion, Venetian Las Vegas is a worthy destination all its own, even with the Strip just beyond the doors. A faithful homage to Europe's crown jewel that includes a quarter-mile Grand Canal complete with gondoliers, The Venetian is also far more than a theme resort. The list includes TAO Beach and Nightclub, Canyon Ranch SpaClub, Grand Canal Shoppes and Madame Tussauds. The Venetian also shares amenities and dining with the connected Palazzo resort.
Highlights
- The Venetian Las Vegas will come alive with the fantasy, food, fun and romance of Italy during Carnevale. This is a three-month celebration of Italy's summer festival from 27 May to 08 September 2013. Based on the highly successful premier in 2012, the festival will be expanded with new events and special new experiences exclusively for the guests.
- Gondola rides both inside and out on the quarter-mile Grand Canal replica
- The exclusive TAO Beach and Nightclub
- Star chef dining options from the likes of Mario Batali, Thomas Keller, Wolfgang Puck and more
- Gorgeous, private club-like poker room
Rooms
Redecorated, unique split-level Venetian Luxury suites start at 650 square feet with king size, pillow top beds and two 32" plasma screens, a full living area, mini-bar and motorized curtains over floor-to-ceiling windows. In true Venetian style, the luxury continues in large bathrooms featuring twin sinks, a separate tub and shower and Agraria bath products. Some Venetian suites include sofa sleepers. Several larger suites are available. Wi-Fi Internet access is included in the resort fee.
Features
Surrounded by replicas of the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Campanile Tower, and St. Mark's Square, guests can't escape the romance of Venice at Venetian, nor do they want to. Where else can you get married on an exquisitely handcrafted wedding gondola? Along the Grand Canal, enjoy a serenade from a gondolier, catch the "streetmosphere" performers or shop the more than 80 international boutiques.More entertainment at Venetian Las Vegas includes the Broadway smash musical Rock of Ages and Australia's critically acclaimed quartet, Human Nature. The Venetian's 134,000-square-foot Ranch Spa – one of the biggest on the Strip – moves beyond the norm with an impressive fitness center, rock climbing wall and cafe. Prepare for more grand scale amenities at Venetian's 5-acre, year-round pool deck featuring three pools, a hot tub, plenty of chaises, and cocktail and food service (cabanas for a fee). Gaming at the opulent casino does not disappoint with handheld gaming devices, a refined poker room and large race and sports book lounge. Guests can also catch shows of Rita Rudner.
The Venetian welcomes Priscilla Queen of the Desert – The Musical, which runs from 18 June to 18 August 2013. This international hit features over 500 dazzling award-winning costumes and a parade of dance-floor favorites.
Dining
The Venetian's solid list of dining options leads with Thomas Keller's Bouchon, Mario Batali's B&B Ristorante, Wolfgang Puck's Postrio, Tom Maloney's Aquaknox, Emeril Lagasse's Delmonico Steakhouse and Piero Selvaggio's Valentino, as well as many Asian options. For breakfast or weekend brunch, don't miss the Grand Luxe Cafe. Guests also find an above-average food court with eateries like Nathan's, Johnny Rockets and Canonita Express.

Wonderful birthday vacation
the hotel was lovely and Christmas decor was nice. Outside the entrance they had interesting entertainment that we enjoyed. Especially loved a woman posing as an angel statue. She was breathtaking and especially poignant for the holidays. Staff was not impressive and we had to call more than once for Kleenex. Would have loved a coffe maker and blow dryer to be provided at this price point. Really enjoyed the food at the main cafe by escalators Overall a great experience

Short walk from hotel
I would recommend the Duece or bus that runs up and down the strip. 24 hour pass only $7 and you can ride as often as you like 24/7. And I felt safe in this bus. We were 3 women alone. Would recommend Maverick helicopter ride to Grand Canyon. Great experience

Venetian hotel
After registration, getting to the hotel room was complicated by the fact that it took two elevators to reach the room. This circuitous pathway was helped by security people stationed by the Bouchon restaraunt who were helpful in guiding me to the next elevator. The room was quite nice, but there was too much EMF from all of the phones and electronic equipement which can cause insomnia. The other negatives were: they use cheap toilet paper, and there was not an abundance of large towels.

Unbeatable Beauty
This is one of the cleanest, most well maintained hotels in Vegas. The staff is top notch, good security throughout and comfortable suites. Went to visit 22 other hotel/casinos and this one was the best.

Beautiful Venue, Rude Staff
I checked in to the hotel and was greeted by friendly door men. the service staff at the front were also very friendly. It wasnt until I asked for directions on the second floor where I ran across "security super cop" who seemed annoyed when I asked for directions to my room (afterall it is a huge place with lots of twists and turns). The room was beautiful and the in hotel ammenities were very nice (had my suit dry cleaned and they dropped it back in my room while I was out eating lunch).

If you are searching for the cheezy "touristy" gifts go to the mall inside the Venetian and there is a store in there called ABC and it has everything you will ever need.

Large suites
This hotel has large suites which is good for family or anybody. However, we could hear kids at 6 am and some drunk people in the hallway one night. So, our sleep was interrupted. The hotel could provide "white noise" for people who want to use it to drown out any noise from the hallways. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel. The restaurants here are pricey. The best buffet was across the street at another large hotel which rhymes with garage.

The best buffet was across the street at another large hotel which rhymes with garage. Don't go to the buffet at the Roman hotel. The Roman hotel buffet only had 1/2 the number of items and cost just as much.

Beautiful and typical LV Pricy
We had a beautiful room at the Venetian. The casino and entire property is gorgeous as well. Drinks are outrageously high in the restaurants (even for a Chicago gal) and Venetian now charges a resort fee (tax) of $20 per day, which isn't included or mentioned when you book rooms through the web. That seems to be the norm rather than exception in Vegas, so you need to check the fine print when comparing prices. By the time you add local and resort taxes, you'll be paying quite a bit more than the quoted price. Bring your tea bags! ;)

Check for daily resort fees when comparing prices of hotels in Vegas. Also, watch out for drink prices if you're not gambling. The price is often not listed on the menus, so ask before you buy!

Christmas in Vegas
My husband and I stayed at the Venetian in Las Vegas over Christmas and it was lovely. It was our first stay there and we were very impressed with it, especially compared to other hotels we've stayed at on the Strip. The Suites are large, plush, and very comfortable and the service was really great. The bathroom was roomy and I loved having a vanity where I could sit and apply makeup rather than having to lean over the sink. The bathtub was nice and deep, I took a bath every day I was there. The only thing that irritated me (and this is everywhere in Vegas) was being charged for EVERYTHING, even using their fitness center had a charge.

Internet access poor
The total experience was good. The biggest problem was the difficulty with the internet, which required daily time on the phone with the Tech. At our request, the amenities fee was refunded. Also, turndown service and robes were available only on request, and there was no COFFEE POT in the room. For a 5-star hotel, these services should be included without having to put in a special request.
