From Gondolas to gourmands, a city of remarkable delights
With all-suite accommodations, an array of entertainment, and incredible dining and diversion, Venetian Las Vegas is a worthy destination all its own, even with the Strip just beyond the doors. A faithful homage to Europe's crown jewel that includes a quarter-mile Grand Canal complete with gondoliers, The Venetian is also far more than a theme resort. The list includes TAO Beach and Nightclub, Canyon Ranch SpaClub, Grand Canal Shoppes and Madame Tussauds. The Venetian also shares amenities and dining with the connected Palazzo resort.
Highlights
- The Venetian Las Vegas will come alive with the fantasy, food, fun and romance of Italy during Carnevale. This is a three-month celebration of Italy's summer festival from 27 May to 08 September 2013. Based on the highly successful premier in 2012, the festival will be expanded with new events and special new experiences exclusively for the guests.
- Gondola rides both inside and out on the quarter-mile Grand Canal replica
- The exclusive TAO Beach and Nightclub
- Star chef dining options from the likes of Mario Batali, Thomas Keller, Wolfgang Puck and more
- Gorgeous, private club-like poker room
Rooms
Redecorated, unique split-level Venetian Luxury suites start at 650 square feet with king size, pillow top beds and two 32" plasma screens, a full living area, mini-bar and motorized curtains over floor-to-ceiling windows. In true Venetian style, the luxury continues in large bathrooms featuring twin sinks, a separate tub and shower and Agraria bath products. Some Venetian suites include sofa sleepers. Several larger suites are available. Wi-Fi Internet access is included in the resort fee.
Features
Surrounded by replicas of the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Campanile Tower, and St. Mark's Square, guests can't escape the romance of Venice at Venetian, nor do they want to. Where else can you get married on an exquisitely handcrafted wedding gondola? Along the Grand Canal, enjoy a serenade from a gondolier, catch the "streetmosphere" performers or shop the more than 80 international boutiques.More entertainment at Venetian Las Vegas includes the Broadway smash musical Rock of Ages and Australia's critically acclaimed quartet, Human Nature. The Venetian's 134,000-square-foot Ranch Spa – one of the biggest on the Strip – moves beyond the norm with an impressive fitness center, rock climbing wall and cafe. Prepare for more grand scale amenities at Venetian's 5-acre, year-round pool deck featuring three pools, a hot tub, plenty of chaises, and cocktail and food service (cabanas for a fee). Gaming at the opulent casino does not disappoint with handheld gaming devices, a refined poker room and large race and sports book lounge. Guests can also catch shows of Rita Rudner.
The Venetian welcomes Priscilla Queen of the Desert – The Musical, which runs from 18 June to 18 August 2013. This international hit features over 500 dazzling award-winning costumes and a parade of dance-floor favorites.
Dining
The Venetian's solid list of dining options leads with Thomas Keller's Bouchon, Mario Batali's B&B Ristorante, Wolfgang Puck's Postrio, Tom Maloney's Aquaknox, Emeril Lagasse's Delmonico Steakhouse and Piero Selvaggio's Valentino, as well as many Asian options. For breakfast or weekend brunch, don't miss the Grand Luxe Cafe. Guests also find an above-average food court with eateries like Nathan's, Johnny Rockets and Canonita Express.

My stay in Vegas
My experience at the Venetian was not what I expected. There was extreme lack of professionalism among the staff. Upon check in, I was made to wait in several long lines and make numerous phone calls to finally be able to check in. I was to check in at 3pm, but no room was available and I had to wait and make phone calls on my own... just to finally get a room. Upon check out with my baggage, I encountered the same problems. The staff was rude and gave the impression that they did not want to be bothered with questions. As for the hotel, it was beautiful and in an ideal location. But because of the cold shoulder treatment I received, I doubt that I would ever recommend or stay here again.

Stayed for 7 nights, when called asking menu for room service was told they had run out of menu's, we never got any and twice lockbox failed to open, and had to loose time waiting for a staff to come to room and open safe up, for dlrs. If I will recommend or stay at this Hotel again, my answer has to be NO.

Dingy rooms
We appreciated the convenience of the concierge amenities. Our room was dingy and I have written to the manager to complain. Carpets were soiled as was the furniture in the sitting area. A number of light bulbs i the sleeping area and the bathroom had to be replaced at our request; the pillowcase on my bed was torn (it was replaced when I called the Front Desk); the bedspread was also ripped. This was an old room with tired interior decorations. We had expected a better room when we accepted the upgrade. We were offered another room in a different part of the hotel, but there was no accompanying concierge facility and it was a day's march from the room we were assigned as an upgrade. The staff throughout the hotel was excellent, both in attitude and ability to smile and make us feel welcome. Too bad about the room! The hotel was very convenient.

Ugh
Our room was dirty, something stuck to the table, tattered couch in the suite sitting area, dirty windows. Our meal at Pinot Brasserie was, politely put, average and the place was nearly empty at 9:00 p.m. Overall, very disappointing.

spectacular room- construction noise!!
The room I stayed in at the Venetian was incredible. I was actually shocked at how nice and large the room was. The bathroom was beautiful, as were the bed area and living room. It was also great having two 42 wall mounted TVs in the room. My main complaint was the never ending construction noise. It started at about 6:00 am and ended at about 7:00 pm both days. It was constant cutting and drilling and it was next to impossible to relax or sleep. I called several times to complain but all they did was give me a free breakfast. All I wanted was the noise to stop!

My review of The Venetian Hotel
There were no dreeser or drawers in the room. I was told twice they would have one moved in as the exisiting one is out for repair. Calling for assistance was 10 to 15 min. on hold. Check-in and valet service was deplorable.

Nice hotel, horrible staff!
I have stayed at the Venetian one time before this recent stay and had a bad experience and vowed to not go back. After being talked into giving it another chance I stayed at the Venetian again. During my stay I had numerous encounters with the hotel staff that was unpleasant for simple things like directions. To get to our room we had to take 2 elevators and a walkway, so it wasn't the easiest room to find. I ordered internet for the room and the connection was so slow that after twenty mins. I gave up. I talked to several other guests while we were there and they had the same complaints plus they complained that they did not have A/C the first day and other things were broken in there room.

Venetian poor customer service
My stay can be summarized bery quickly. The housekeeping is poor. If you dont mind asking for things that should have been done you may like it. The staff was so lazzy they didnt even clean off the fax machine so your welcome sheet was actually yours. You have to sort through a whole pile to get to the last one. On checkout they admitted to many complaints about housekeeping. I asked to be given a survey and for someone to contact me. It didnt happen. It is priced appropriate for good service and location. Many other hotels rooms are nicer at half the price. DONT GO FOR THE POOL!!!!!
