Days Inn and Suites Albany

Room was unclean. Dirty towel on back of door, clothing tags in drawers bath mat was already very wet. Clerk was not efficient.

I was first in a "motel type" room and it had an awful smell so I got changed to another room that was OK, then the hot water got broken so they moved me again but this time to the "big buliding" now this is a better quality room since its newer so everything is nicer but it's hard to justify the price. The gym is not nice at all but there is a nice breakfast.

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at . It was filthy and even left a day early.

We were fleeing Hurricane Irene and so we took our dog with us. My wife was 4 days from her due date, so making sure she was comfortable was of prime importance. After looking at several hotels, we choose this one as it seemed the best value for the money and was 'pet friendly.' We booked a suite with a King bed. Once we got there though, we were told that the owner does not allow pets in the building where the suites were! It was too late to book anywhere else (everything was filling up with people fleeing the storm). The manager at the reception switched us into a regular room with Queen. The room wasn't much bigger than the bed though, so our dog didn't have much room to move around. We were not given any type of discount either for being moved to a smaller room. They did not charge us though for pet fee, so I guess that is something. The manager was very helpful otherwise, directing us to the best hospital in the area in case my wife went into labor, giving us menus of places that delivered, etc. However, if they are going to restrict what rooms you can have pets in, that should be CLEARLY posted when you are booking.

nice to get a suite at a motel rate! All the amenities!

Rooms were old and out dated, but even that would not have been a problem if the place was cleaner. This place needs more upkeep.

The Baymount is a very nice Inn. It was basic and clean. Just what I needed. The bed was large and comfortable. The area where the pool and the free breakfast were was very nice. Overall had a very nice experience. I will stay there again when I'm in Albany.

This was a motel, and not a good one. The door was so flimsy that I wedged the ironing board under the door knob so that I felt safe. The shower curtain rod was hanging by one screw - clearly housekeeping had to have noticed....AND there was a puddle on the floor from the previous user.
