Days Inn Batavia Darien Lake Theme Park

The Days Inn Batavia is easy to get to (and easy to find as you come off I-90). It is listed as recently renovated, however this seems to only apply to the linens and beds. The lobby is bare and not very welcoming (although the staff is accommodating) and the building itself overall is well-worn. Our room included a room with a toilet and a shower, the sink and mirror were in the bedroom area. The carpet could use a cleaning, the dressers were worn, there was a bug on the wall, the garbage had beer bottles in it, and with the additions of a microwave and a fridge, there was a sever shortage of outlets. In fact, the iron was stored in a location that had no outlets, and required me to unplug a lamp to use. However, the bed was comfortable, I was tempted to steal a pillow because it was comfy and you could smell the bleach on the linens which was reassuring. Heat worked almost too well, which is not a problem. While the shower was aged, pressure was good and heated quick. This hotel would be best for a one-night stay (certainly no more than that) for someone or a couple who just wants a bed for the night. If you're looking for amenities or staying with children, consider dropping a few extra bucks for somewhere else.

overall i m satisfied. it was worth the money.. but beds and bed clothing are too old and used. i had think many times to even use it by just looking at it.

Moldy shower curtain, generally not kept up very well.

was just off highway lobby and guest rooms all was updated (looks great ) the hotel resturant was well price and food was great

Upon entering, the hallways smelled terrible. Our air conditioning didn't work, we had flies in our room. When we went out to the pool, there was only 1 lounge chair that you could sit it. All of the others had straps missing which resulted in gaping holes (we chose the Days Inn because it had a pool)! The best part about the room were the shower and the pillows. As convenient as the location is, we would NEVER get a room there again.

This hotel was in a great location to the freeway, shopping, and many restaurants, but the hotel itself was lacking in many areas. There were repairs going on in several areas, so there were power tools and building materials in the hallways and walk spaces for guests. The hotel had a mildew smell almost everywhere in the halls, the pool was salty and had frogs, real live frogs, living in it. The insulation was terrible and we could hear all neighbors to each side and above us as if they were in our room. The staff; however, was very helpful and pleasant and the hotel allowed for pets. Overall not the best hotel but it appears as if they are trying to make improvements.

The location and price were great, but our room was never touched by housekeeping.

our room had mold growing along the base board. I had to clean the heating unit to get air out of it. The intake was packed completly with dust and dirt. This place is worn out and needs a bulldozer.

The hotel was dirty, apparently under some sort of renovations we think, the first room had a clogged sink full of some ones left over or regurgitated lunch. We moved to the 2nd floor but felt uncomfortable as there were 24 hour guards at each exit on floor, guarding rooms that where tagged and named, but the guards "were not at liberty to disclose why". We understand what 2 star means now.

Needed a Pet friendly room with WiFi access for a 5 day business stay. Room was extremely smelly, worst that I have ever stayed in!!! WiFi was exceptionally poor or totally non working, so I spent most of my "computer time " in the front lobby to access the WiFi signal. Breakfast was poor & saw mice running on top of the food counter. Brought these problems to the front desk but not much happened... Staff were all very nice but couldn't resove my issues. Obviously the hotels maintenance budget is really lacking. Pet cost is $10 a day but "I" should of been reimbursed for the bottle of "renuzit" air freshener I purchased to help make the room tolerable. Would absolutely not stay there again.
