Interesting place

This is our second time at this hotel. It leaves much to be desired, but served its purpose. It was close to conference we were attending. We reserved room for 3 and were given a room with one bed. The quickly made adjustment. Towels are pretty threadbare. We did appreciate microwave and fridge. Coffee was offered at office, but not until 8 AM and was too far away to be convenient. We will most likely look for another place next year.

Graylyn Motel

My experince was lousy at best. No record of my reservation. Room clean but I could see through the very small towels. No bath mat, no shelf in the shower for soap etc. No secondary lock on the inside of the door. New moulding so somebody ripped it off. Pool supposed to be open until 10 PM, locked at 8:30. Would help is the front desk staff could speak ENGLISH!!!

Disappointed

The motel did not meet my expectations. The heat was off, the smoke detector was sounding, the furniture was broken, and the curtains were not hooked to the curtain rod. Typed instuctions on the back of the door, told me to be sure all babies wore diapers in the motel! I booked two nights, refused to stay the first night and expected to cancel the second night. The motel refused to cancel the second night's reservation, stating the motel has a no refund policy. I had to pay for two nights at this motel...and refused to stay even 10 minutes.

The good, the bad, and the real ugly

The only heat was a small vent at the floor in the bathroom. The shower floor was painted with regular wall paint and the tile was covered with vinyl floor covering. The towels and wash rags were old and all different colors. There was some language barrier with the office help. Stains on sheets. Called office, had to walk down there to get clean sheets and info about heat and had to get cable for computer.

the good, the bad and the ugly

We went to Lake George. The previous trips we took to Lake George were better than this trip. We had housekeeping, we had wireless internet, we had things before that this one didnt have.

OK for one night

The motel is convenient to the highway. The room was clean, but had a musty odor. I booked a room that was listed as having a "view of the pool." The pool didn't look like it had been in use in years. It was covered with a tarp and cinder blocks (the brochure in the office had a picture on it of happy people around the pool that I guessed was 30-40 years old). The curtains on the large window on the room would not close all the way, which left something to be desired privacy-wise. They said they offered breakfast, but during check-in I noticed it was Cheerios or Fruit Loops, and the milk had probably been sitting out for at least 3 hours by then, so I had no desire to have any the next morning. I was staying for one night, and didn't plan to spend much time at the motel, so it was adequate. I won't say I'd never go back, but it would be a last resort if I were staying in the area again.

A Great Disappointment

The hotel is false in thier advertisment, the pool was not open, it was closed. There were no new upgrades to the rooms because it looked old and unclean. There were stains on the furniture, walls and ceiling. The towels were a joke, couldn't even shower. Spend one night thank God!!! Wouldn't recommend.
