Just okay
The Econo Lodge Lake Placid was just okay...Decor was very outdated (think 1985 teal and pink quilted bedspread) and the carpet had several tears in it. The matress was rock hard. One of the lamps did not work at all and one of the others the
lightbulb socket was tilted and hanging askew. Just One sink in the bathroom (I traveled by myself so this wasn't really an issue, but if hubby had been with me we would have liked 2 sinks). I was gone for several hours each afternoon during my week stay, and only once did I come back to find the room had been cleaned and restocked with towels. I am a neat person and it would have taken them a total of about 5 minutes to straighten the room. I had to ask the maid for fresh towels one day. On the upside, it was fairly quiet and I slept okay despite the matress. This is an okay hotel to stay in if you don't mind old decorating and taking care of yourself. If you want to be pampered, pick another hotel. Even with it being an Econo lodge, I felt it was slightly overpriced.

Econo Lodge, good room/good rate
Friendly staff. I didn't have any special needs, so there were no unmet expectations. The room was clean and quiet. Just what I needed.

Nice, Affordable Place To Stay
We came up to go to Oktoberfest at Whiteface Mt. This hotel was nice and affordable. It was clean and comfortable, but definitely a little dated. They did have a nice pool and hot tub. Overall, it was a decent place to stay if you are trying to
save a little money.

Ok for the Price
Staff was friendly and effiicient. No hasssels checking in or out. Room was ready when I arrived and was as promised. Parking was a bit tight once the rooms were all full. Had to use a handicap spot one night or park on the street. Overall,,it was
a good stay.

Great value in Lake Placid, NY location
Staff is very courteous. Most rooms have fridge and microwave. Pool and hot tub are clean. Rooms are clean but this is an older facility so things are worn.
Great place to sleep but not a place you want to spend a lot of time. Plenty to do in the
area anyway. Location is great. Minutes to everything you need.
Breakfast gets an A for effort. But you might want to pass.

Nice place for the money
The room was clean and comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi room was very nice, our only complaint was the breakfest, there was very little to choose from. Only seen the staff at check in and check out but were nice enough. Overall if you are looking
for a place just to sleep at and be close to town this is the place to stay for the money.

Do not stay here!
I have travelled the world and have never had such a terrible experience in a hotel room. The carpet in our room was soaking wet in areas and not vacummed in others. The upholstered chairs were too filthy to sit on and the walls were yellow and
stained. I woke in the middle of the night, ill with a sinus headache, no doubt caused by the knobless a/c unit that had a funky odor. I literally felt soiled and sick after staying here.
