King size suite very very nice
I had a wonderful time. I stayed in a king size suite. The bed was wonderful. The only complaints I would have about the room is that the bathroom is a bit awkward space wise as the toilet is right behind the door and if you are 5'11 or taller or over 200 lbs you would not fit and there was no tub BUT the shower was nice and big. The other complain is about the internet connection which for the amount of money that one is paying for it (about $17) the quality/strength is not good - it kept disconnecting and was very slow so if you need to do important business then not recommended. For the standard of the hotel I would recommend they check with the provider to upgrade the internet service as it is not up to par.

Comfortable and in a good location
Rooms are comfortable, overall, however, my mattress had the air of being a bit too old and worn out for a place of that caliber. Nights were therefore not too comfortable.

Great value
We needed a hotel near Port Authority and this was a short cab ride away. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room clean and very nice, and we even got to check in at 11am when we arrived. It was also close to the Metro so we could easily meet friends in Brooklyn. Perfect!

Great Value!
This is an under rate chain. My room was very large and the price of the room was less than $200 per night. The bed was comfortable and the room was modern. And I was there for work, could easily walk to all my meetings with the ideal mid-town location. Great find.

Not bad for NY average for any other 4 STAR hotel
You expect more when you pay 200$ a night. But what you get is average however not bad considering average cost of a pint of beer is 7$. Room was not bad, it was very clean, comfortable. We got a room that look at an alley real ugly view. No pool but the workout room is very nice. Roof top bar is pretty good. Location is excellent.

Friendly Staff and a good price
We stayed at the Affinia-Shelburne recently for my bachelor party in NYC. I was hoping for the one of the two-bedroom suites with a terrace, but they were booked solid that weekend. We ended up with a little less space than I would have hoped for in a suite, but the service at the hotel was very nice. Nikki, I believe, at the front desk, was very nice and helpful and gave us all the information we needed. She offered to have the sofa bed made up and ready for our return. We actually spent most of the night in the city, so the room served as a little place to share some drinks and food at the end of a wild night on the town. The room was very clean, and the hotel provided everything I asked for. The elevators were small and a bit slow at times, especially the next morning during check-out. The price was very good, however, if I planned another event or bachelor shindig, I would probably shop around and spring for a larger suite, or book further in advance so I could have the two-bedroom suite, which would accommodate a large group much better. Overall, a nice stay with a great staff and great service, and much appreciated Philosophy bath products!
