Weekend in the City
The hotel was charming and our room was very clean. The bathroom was spacious and toiletries and towels were replaced each day. We were within walking distance from Times Square, restaurants, shopping, museums and the train and bus station. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast in the lobby was nice. The room was perfect for our needs, and we would definately stay here again.

New York visit
I fould the Da Vinci to be even more than I imagined. It's located right in the middle of midtown Manhattan. Everything you might need is closeby. I was very pleased with the room (1 Queen bed for just little me),a clean and workable bathroom. The room, though small, was well appointed and very comfortable...as was the hotel. A great the good value in The City.

No Sleep, Would not Return.
First I'll list the positives of the Da Vinci hotel: the room was extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable, more comfortable than many large chains. The restaurant on the lower level is a fun hangout with great Italian food and wonderful bread! Now the negatives: I couldn't sleep because the heat system was banging in the walls all night. When I asked to switch rooms, the staff told me it is audible in every room, since it's in the walls and switching rooms won't help. They said it's a known problem, which didn't help me sleep at all. Unfortunately, I cannot hear banging all night and sleep soundly, so I would not return to this hotel. Amenities are sparse - no vending machines or mini bar. Window didn't open and the television picture was fuzzy and in need of repair. Room was European-small. Would barely accommodate two people.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Within the Broadway district and Columbus Circle. A lot of shopping and night life around. But because it is in the middle of the city, there is also noise and sirens during the night.

awesome
I was for 4 days and my trip was awesome, in special for the great location of the hotel. The hotel is close to central park, time square, and other amenities. Also nearby to many and great restaurants. The staff was very nice. The value of the hotel is suitable for the service and location. The only thing that need attention is the temperature in the room because it was hot and there no way to balance it.

Overnight Getaway
This hotel fulfilled all of our needs. Close to Central Park, Times Square, and Broadway. Rooms are smallish, but well equipped with all the necessities for a night away from home. If you are looking for a large suite, look else where. If you are looking for a clean room to sleep off a night on the town, the Da Vinci Hotel is just right.

Great value in the heart of midtown
I had a great stay at the Da Vinci Hotel. The check in and check out process was easy. The rooms are tiny ans no frills, but clean. The shower was updated and of high quality. There was a flatscreen TV in the room, but the channel selection was lacking. The hotel is right in the heart of the city and it would be hard to find another hotel with the same bang for the buck. I would definitely stay here again!

Great, comfortable place!
I enjoyed the most comfortable bed! I have found in a hotel in recent years. Nice warm quilt, clean comfortable bathroom. Cute, quirky room much more like a European pension than a cookie cutter stuffy American hotel. Nice breakfast too. May not be everybody's style, but I loved it and would stay there again.

Intimate, convenient, helpful
My daughter chose this hotel for its neighborhood, and for its distinctive, intimate nature and we were pleased. It was a pleasant walk to the Opera and to Central park, had many small, interesting restaurants nearby, a garage very close (with discount for the hotel), and always someone gracious on duty at the front desk. With just two dozen rooms it was quiet and homey. The room was small and our view just a peek toward the street and skyline, but it met our needs. The bathroom was very nice, all in perfect condition and clean. There was a little Italian Restaurant in the basement level, which we enjoyed. Cost seemed a bit high there, but the hotel gives a 15 percent discount at that location. The only negative during our two night stay was that the room was very hot and we could not find a way to adjust the heat. (finally cracked the window for relief). BUT when I mentioned this on departure I was told there was a way we could have turned off the heat. The management has plans to provide an information book in each room in the near future, which will include info about adjusting the heat and other helpful info. We enjoyed an inexpensive, enjoyable meal another night at a nearby Cuban restaurant, and loved a small bookstore on a nearby parallel street. We recommend this as a nice neighborhood and good value.
