The Fitzpatrick

What a nice surprise!!! Great hotel and the room was so spacious! Comfortable bed, big bathtub and the maid service was excellant. I asked for hair conditoner and she said they did not carry that in the cart. When I returned back to the hotel that night, there was a big bottle of hair conditioner! the resturant is very good with alot of choices and great big portions. A nice hotel. what else can you expect from the Irish!! Clean and lovely. The shops on 57th and lexington are right outside. Sephora, Bloomingdales, Barneys,Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma and they best little resturant called Bottega De Vino on 59th and 5th!! A must for dinner.. Have fun in the big apple.

21st Birthday

I was completely satisfied with our room, as well as the location. As it was my 21st Birthday, there were a lot of locations for my friends and I to go to without a lot of hassles to get there. We would definately come back again soon. The room was very comfortable and the bathrooms were great!

The Best Place to Stay

The is a very well situated hotel. It is a place that will certainly please those who come to the city for the first time or who have been there before. I am originally form New York and have discriminating taste and expectations of Manhattan. The Fitzpatrick lives up to expectations. Do not make the mistake of missing out on this opportunity! You'll be very impressed by its proximity to so many good places - The park, FAO Schwartz, restuarants and many many more. Enjoy!

Great Location

Within easy walking distance of subway and great shopping. Although the room was a little small, I was traveling alone so was not a problem. Would certainly consider when traveling to NY again.

Absolutely the BEST

We came to the Fitzgerald Manhattan for a trade show at the Javitz Center. This hotel was just a few blocks walk to the shuttle the show supplied for us. The atmosphere was rich and oozed with warmth. Beautiful restaurant and bar (although I did not eat there). The Staff was great! The room was just as pictured online. We could not have chosen a better place to stay [...]!! I will definitely stay there again.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Take a taxi to the hotel from the airport. We booked the shuttle because we were uncertain about the pricing and it cost us at least double for the shuttle. There were 3 of us so we had to pay for 3 on the shuttle, whereas the taxi just charges a little more for more than one passenger. Other than that...just a perfect trip!

Would recommend it to anyone going to NY

Staff were wonderful, especially [...] the bar man who kept us laughing! Amazing room, would recommend to anyone, singles or families as in a good location, not too far from it all but far enough that it isn't too noisy. Would stay there again if I returned to New York without a doubt!

Welcoming hospitality

The Fitzpatrick Hotel was brilliant for us - a family of four in NY for a weekend to see family. We had reserved a suite and on arrival they upgraded us and it was lovely. We were welcomed and there was no need to get paperwork out and the fuss and bother of confirming the reservation - just took our name and that was enough. The decor is classic - dark wood furniture and architectural prints but not fussy. A gorgeous bedroom with an enormous bed, windows that opened on both sides of the room, lots of chests of drawers and useful tables, an enormous arm chair with footstool and a window seat. Lights could be dimmed so perfect for small children who needed the comfort of a night light. The windows had curtains, nets and blackout curtains so it could be dark while the children slept but light enough and the inevitable view of the back of buildings could be disguised. Opening the curtains to morning sunshine was wonderful. The bathroom was a lovely size, although the Americans don't understand the full length bath but it was deliciously wide with lots of shelves for book balancing and light to read too! Lighting could be dimmed too so you could find your way in the middle of the night. The sitting room had a pull out sofa bed which was perfectly comfortable although my husband did wonder why we had the short straw and not the children! I go on the principle that if the children are not exhausted everyone has a better time. More armchairs, a desk with a couple of chairs and still there was floor space. Like the bedroom there were windows which opened on both sides of the room. Kitchenette area had a sink, small fridge and coffee machine and tucked around the corner so unobtrusive. Lots of coat cupboards and hanging space. Enormous television in both rooms with remote control instructions that were clear and easy to understand. The staff were delightful, we borrowed their computer to check in online, and they could not have been more helpful. Didn't go to the restaurant bar but it seemed popular with people in it most of the time and the food looked great. Room service menu was varied and not ridiculously over priced. Location was perfect for us and it was not too big or too corporate. Easy to get to central park and the delights of 5th Avenue and just down the road from Bloomingdales too. Other clients seemed to be out of towners who had come to NY for the weekend and family groups - everyone seemed to be laughing and smiling which I always feel is a good thing.
