Midtown hotel with family-friendly amenities near Central Park
This Holiday Inn is located in west Midtown and boasts amenities not always found in New York three-star hotels. Guests have access to a concierge service, fitness center and outdoor pool open seasonally. The Kids Eat Free program provides complimentary meals at the on-site Gotham Cafe to kids under 12 years old. The hotel is just blocks from Central Park and Lincoln Center and a short walk to Broadway.

Great Value and Location
It was a great location to midtown Manhatten. It was close to Central Park, Time Square and Columbus Circle. It was one block to the subway station. There were hundreds of restaurant within easy walking distance from 57th St, south on 8th and 9th Ave. The king room was large and roomy. It had a new 42 inch flat screen TV. The bath room was clean but showed a little wear but the hotel indicated they are in the process of redoing all the rooms. The staff was very friendly.The price was quite reasonable. We would not hesitate staying there again.

Great location
Quick weekend trip. Hotel was average, nothing over the top. Biggest perk was location. The rooms need updating for sure. Overall, it worked.

Perfect location with average amenities
We stayed here November 8-11 and the location is perfect! It's a quick walk to Central Park and the Subway (about 3 blocks). Lots of shops, restaurants, and places to go out nearby. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only con we had was that the shower head was not attached to the wall (it was handheld) and so showering was a bit difficult. Other than that, our group determined we would definitely stay here again!

very nice hotel
all staff were very helpful, especially the manager that allowed me late checkout. what a help that was. I definately plan to stay there again

NYC quick trip
My rfiends & I have made over a dozen bus trips to New York City & when our trip was cancelled this year, I looked into flying & hotel. We even got trip insurance PLUS a whole extra day in the city versus our bus trip for only $50 more. It was the nicest hotel we've stayed in while in the city. We would definately do it again!!

Customer service and hallways stunk
We had booked a non-smoking room, but the rude staff told us that they had one room left and it was a smoking room, so we could take it or leave. Their service stunk, almost as badly as their hallways.

Large room in Manhatan, no heat in the room
The room was clean and wide, might becuse it was an accessive room. The washroon was very large, but there was no shower head holder on the wall. It was very difficulty for girls with long hair to raise the shampoo holding the shower head. The AC only can be cool, but it was quite cold when I stayed in NY. The service staff broght me two blancket. SO my stay was not ruined.

Needs freshening up.
Room was very musty smelling. Hotel in general was showing a lot of wear...pealing wallpaper, in need of fresh paint, carpet should be cleaner. The price and condition of the hotel are not consistent with other Holiday Inn experiences.
