Midtown hotel with family-friendly amenities near Central Park
This Holiday Inn is located in west Midtown and boasts amenities not always found in New York three-star hotels. Guests have access to a concierge service, fitness center and outdoor pool open seasonally. The Kids Eat Free program provides complimentary meals at the on-site Gotham Cafe to kids under 12 years old. The hotel is just blocks from Central Park and Lincoln Center and a short walk to Broadway.

the most disgasting hotel
staing in this hotel ruined my vocation! we didn't sleep at all!!! Extremly noisy and old and unpleasent! How possible to charge for this room more than 200$?? It is abusing!

Clean hotel but the front desk staff needs to work on their attitude.
The hotel was very nice. good location easy to get in and out of close to subway and other places of interest. The air conditioner was not working but the maintenance crew was right on top of it and had it working with minutes of us reporting the problem. The front desk staff "concierge"etc seemed to be put off when asked questions about how to get to places we wanted to see. THey answered our questions but seemed to be annoyed that we asked them for help.

PHL to NYC
Bathroom issue
When we arrived we were in a rush, therefore the quick check in was appreciated. Problem came when we got to our room, it became apparent immediately that the toilet was broken as it did not flush. We reported this to the front desk before we left for the evening. When we returned after midnight it was still broken, which is not a good thing when you are travelign with 2 children, who were forced to use the public restroom in the hotel. We reported before we check out and the manager was kind enough to comp us free breakfast. But to spend over $400 a night and not have a working bathroom is unacceptable. Other than the bathroom, Beds were comfortable, kids amazed by rooftop pool and staff was friendly.

Non smokers beware!
Specifically asked for a non smoking room and the request was ignored. To be fair staff did switch us to a non smoker after 2 days. The smoking floor (2nd) is awful and reeks of tobacco smoke. I am a smoker but the stench was awful. If you are sensitive to tobacco smoke I strongly advise that you make sure you are not put in a room on the 2nd floor. Overall the hotel was very clean and tidy and staff very helpful. Location was perfect for all parts of Manhattan. .

Family Visit to US Open
Convenient to subway and the city. Everyone that didn't go to the Open had something to do! Clean, comfortable and convenient local. The pool was a great place to refresh from a full day!

Great loation and Price for NY
The location was great, majority of sites all in walking distance, staff was very friendly and helpful. The best thing was the size of the room for the money-great value. Easy access to cabs, subway and variety of tours right near by.

Plan out your day before you leave the hotel thru the concierge service-this keeps you from going back to hotel to make plans, you can stay out all day (and night if you like).

Clean and very spacious
The room was very spacious and clean. The one thing that could be better are the towels---they were very old and and worn out. The pillows, beds and sheets were new, clean and very soft. The location is out of the way and you will need to take the subway to get to times square. There are many restaurants on 9th street (south of the hotel) but not much to walk to or do on 57th street. Kids eat free at the Gotham Cafe and the portions are very generous!!!!! Definitely a big savings if you are with your kids. We had a very pleasant stay!!! The room is huge for Mahattan!!

Good Location, near to Central Park
Hotel suited our needs but it is starting to look a bit "tired". Notices were being displayed that refurbishment was starting late 2012. Otherwise we had no negative comments.
