Affordable boutique hotel
Yes, the rooms are tiny but well maintained and very clean. The front lobby is impressive with modern decor and very supportive/friendly staff. The one thing that was weird was the bathroom door was only half there so the other half was open. The bathroom had a draft which made it a lot colder than the room where the bed was. For the price we paid and the need to only store our luggage and sleep, it was worth it.

Mari Vanna - very quaint. Wonderful decor. Food is Russian and excellant. Try the Pelmeni filled with veal, you will be a true believer! Save room for desert too - the dumplings with sour cherries is amazing. 41E 20th St.

Excellent value...but are missing some pretty basic stuff. Lighs are horrible in room including bath. Could use a clock radio...towels are as soft as cardboard. No water in room. Hotel put me in an handicapped room...should have told me upon check-in. Very good option for business stay when on budget...but would not stay for pleasure.

Fun until we found out there are mice in it
The snobby ny staff are uninviting obnoxious, they were condescending until we called with mice in our room, not one but two! The place is gross, badly managed and a home for lonely mice, disgusting!,,, stay away.

Solid option for a quick stay in NYC
The good: cleanliness, price, quality, great beds, solid location with restaurants/cafés nearby, friendly staff. The bad: small rooms (like anywhere else in Manhattan), no room service, no movie system on the TV.

Please Please Please don't believe most of the reviews for this hotel. After booking, I continued to read more reviews and began to worry what I booked. I can't tell you how blown away we were with this hotel. The scent in the lobby was delicious, the decor fabulous and the comfort and feel was perfection! Our room was a decent size (awesome king size bed that we didn't want to get out of!#, plenty of room for the two both in and out of the bed! ;-) Great location to walk almost anywhere. Hotel offers computers #and printers), fitness area and full bar. If you are contemplating whether to stay or not! Book it and be delighted you did!

Weekend getaway
This hotel is located between Downtown & Uptown in a quiet neighborhood. The standard room is small but efficiently designed. We were not bothered by this as we were there on a pleasure trip so we were only in the room basically to sleep. The room & common areas are very clean & maintained. We found the staff helpful & happy. There is no restaurant on site but less than a block or two away there are places to have breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Hidden gem
Loved this stylish hotel hidden away on East 30th Street. close to great ethnic restaurants with a real neighborhood feel. the hotel room was small but comfortable. The decor was very pleasant and hotel linens were top quality. would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room, but other than that it was perfect.
