Fantastic Family Getaway

Excellent hotel. The room was larger and cleaner than we expected. The staff was helpful and friendly, especially when it came to transportation needs. The hotel is close to everything important to us. Everything seemed a few blocks away including Time Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, and the subway. I would recommend this hotel to couples and singles. The only drawback is that there were not rooms with more than one king sized bed. We did not mind sharing, but those who do would not have been happy. However, rollaways were available. It was a lovely hotel in the upper west side of Midtown.

NYC getaway

Check in was quck and easy. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. When we returned one evening, there was fresh ice in our ice bucket and housekeeping services were outstanding. We appreciated the room darkening shades and quiet. Everyone we dealt with on the phone and in person were very efficient and friendly. One of our best hotel experiences. We would definitely recommend it to others and would stay again.

Duke's Cafe is only a few doors away and has every kind of food imagineable, including healthy and organic choices, at reasonable prices. If you'd like a quick inexpensive meal or snack, this is the place to go. We enjoyed everything and wish we had found it sooner.

Amazing Bed!

Not too keen on the lobby (lots of marble, velour, mirrors and gilt), and the complimentary breakfast was a bit of a joke, but the great location, generous room size, and incredibly comfortable bed made up for it. Will probably return if the price is right.

Ellen's Stardust Diner - you don't go for the food, but the singing waitors/waitresses make it a wonderful place to take young children

Great location, fantastic hotel

The Michelangelo Hotel couldn't be in a better location; yet at night you have complete darked-out windows and a great quiet night's sleep. James, the concierge, helped us every day with our outings and it doesn't get any better than that! He made it all worth while!

Short Business Trip

This hotel was fantastic!! The staff almost tripped over themselves to be helpful, the room was sparkling clean, as was the common areas. The room was HUGE by New York City standards, and large by any other standard. The location is ideal, near theaters, Times Square and Rockefeller Center, yet nary a problem with undue noise. The only insignificant inconvenience is the in-house restaurant. It is extremely small and the wait staff is nowhere near efficient. My business companion and I announced that we were two for dinner one evening and were seated. One of the wait staff came over immediately ,took and delivered our drink order, then almost literally disappeared. After waiting a full 30 minutes, we paid for our drinks and left the hotel for another restaurant for dinner. In addition, the restaurant's portions are very small, compared to the price charged.

Family holiday

Great location. Room surprisingly spacious, clean, quiet and elegantly furnished.. Efficient staff. Never have to wait long for elevator. But could do with an electric tea kettle and basic tea/coffee supplies besides the mini bar and fridge. Definitely will stay there again.

Incredible Value!

It is rare to find this combination of location, Comfort, room size, and quality staff at one hotel let alone one so reasonably priced. The Concierge was excellent as well and made reservations for two great dinner experiences.
