Great location
I enjoyed my stay in New York which was made all the better for this hotels great location, from my bed I could see the lights of Times square yet just a few minutes walk from Central park. Subway stations outside the door and deli's all around the hotel giving a great choice of breakfast at varying prices. If you can't afford a 5star hotel then this type of hotel is just for you, could not complain about anything.

decent price for a good room
Compared to a recent stay at another hotel with higher reviews and higher pricing.. this hotel exceeded the one I've mentioned.

Great Deal!
I loved it! The Hotel is well situated. The place is clean. My only issue was that the bathroom had no heater and so was very cold (in an extremely cold weather spell). Again this was minor as leaving the door the heat from the room kept it usable. But LOVED being there!

Convenient location
the room was a good value, but we found the room way too small to move around. the bathroom was like a college dormitory bathroom. the water pressure was way too high, which mean the stream coming from the shower head was way too hard, like needles, and the shower curtain flailed around the whole time you're in the shower, which got EVERYTHING in the bathroom soaking wet. the housekeepers did not replace shampoo or soap the entire 7 days i was there, I had to go downstairs to request more. also, the heater/air conditioner did not have any buttons or controls, so we either had to open the window when it got too hot, or close the window when it was too cold... but those are just minute things. I found the location extremely convenient to Times Square.

The location is excellent, and the affordable price was a huge draw. All would have been great actually if there had been any way to control the room temperature which felt roasting.

Needs some T.L.C.
Immediately changed rooms on arrival allocated room was small and unclean. Staff accomodating but lack sparkle.Hotel in need of serious refurb, it's shabby! Second room more spacious ,bathrooms tiny sheets and towels clean and changed daily. Don't use the Greek restaurant it's overpriced and pretentious,cafe convenient and reasonable.Best thing about this hotel was location but shall not be returning.

Get the New York pass (available on line in advance or buy on 8th Ave.) Eat on 9th Ave it's where the locals eat Especially Stecchino great food very good value and friendly,helpful staff.

The Wellington
We thought the location was perfect. Just far enough away from Times Square and close enough to Lincon Center, Radio City, and Central Park South to walk. Room was clean and had modern bath fixtures. Naturally, it wasn't the largest, but it was quiet and the hotel seemed uncrowded despite being full.

The Deli across the street from Carnigie Hall on 7th was a great place for breakfast, inexpensive, and mainly for the neighborhood, not the tourists. It gives you a slice to the real NYC.
