Location great....but service in Hotel spoiled our trip a lite
Had an excellent start to our trip got upgraded on BA flight which was fantastic thankyou BA.... Our excitement was spoiled when we saw our Hotel room ,it was tiny we could hardly move in bathroom so disappointed ,also we where kept awake every night by banging of pipes from heating.....not 1 person in that Hotel asked us if everything was ok worst Hotel I've ever stayed in......I went to reception to complain and overheard another guest complaining they where so rude to her that I didn't bother as I didn't want to waste my Husbands 50th Birthday we still enjoyed our trip but the Hotel definately spoiled some of it ....We saved a long time for that trip and if you look on the website I promise you won't see our room 1025 ....Gutted to say the least .

Disgruntled NJ Dad
Badly in need of updating - location does not trump the skeeve factor
I thought it would be fun to take the family into the City for a couple of nights over Easter Break, but...the sofa bed in our "Queen Suite" was so vile I could not let our kids sleep in it. The Queen bed itself was in such poor shape, it collapsed in the middle. The carpet was dirty and in need of replacement. Overall a disgusting experience. We actually left the first night in spite of losing the prepaid 2 night fee. I figured the money was sunk, and it was not worth enduring the situation. It is shameful that they charge as much as they do for what can only be referred to as a dump. I felt bad for all the Europeans who had nowhere to escape to - we only had to drive back through the Lincoln Tunnel, thank goodness...

Decent Stay
Stay was fairly decent. Downside: late check-out is one hour... We had to lug our luggage around to get food which was quite inconvenient...

Wellington Hotela
It was a very nice, clean hotel. The room was smaller than it appeared in the photos, but not too bad. The location was great, for what I needed. I had very pleasant interactions with their very helpful staff. If I would make one suggestion, I would offer free airline check service, like I have seen and used at other hotels of this quality and price-range. I had to sign in, using their fee based internet service to check-in online and print my boarding pass for my flight out on the 24th. They were able to help me arrange the least expensive means to get to the airport. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay iin NYC.

Show off NYC
This was not my 1st trip to NYC but It was my friend 's 1st visit. So the location was great for easy access to the subwaytrains, the park & museums . We had gotten a two room suite through a travel website but somewhere between the website & the front desk of the hotel, the reservation at the desk was noted as two people not 4 and a 1 room suite not 2 a two room suite. We were able to get the 2 room suite. Our trip was late winter and the rooms are heat with steam that could not be controlled in the room. At night the radiators sounded as though an animal was trying to escape its cage. We had to sleep with the windows open because the rooms were just too hot. The sleeper sofa pullout bed was broken. We had to put the mattriess on the floor. For the cost of the room I would have thought there would have been free WiFi. WiFi was available for a fee of $5/hr. Because of the reservation mismatch I had to show the confirmation email, each time to get the correct number of breakfast vouchers.

Price OK
The price was OK for midtown. Room was small, but adequate for single. It needs to be updated and was noisy as to work being performed late at night outside the hotel.

Wellington - March 2013
Overall, a good experience. The best part is the location (proximity to Central Park especially). Rooms are a bit small in size, but I guess that is normal for Manhattan hotels. Staff is very helpful. Not much to offer in terms of in-room dining, but there are plenty of eating establishments close to the hotel.
