Experience here was OK -- great location, but room needed updating. It was dark and also it was New Year's Eve so there was some noise. A fire alarm got us up on Monday morning without apology from the hotel -- apparently someone burned toast.

Stayed for two nights on a business trip. Rooms were dated but clean. Staff friendly. One of the elavators was broken, that was a pain. Otherwise, ok. Close to everything.

Booked hotel as it was 10 minutes walking distance from the main street armory where Korn was playing. I would recommend this place if you're looking for something cheap and only staying a night or two. The staff was really friendly and it looks like renovations are being done to the building.

It was okay, not what i expected for $80 a night, but not bad.

at first I thought the prx for a night is expensive but it's only 15 minute drive away from the airport. it's located inside of loop of Rochester and theater district and meuseums are within a short walk distance. The hotel staff are friendly and the food was great. the hotel room is clean and spacious. it's very pleasant to stay. there is a hall on the 2nd floor and it's good to have a big family party, wedding reception etc.

Elevator was broken but received a free room upgrade. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Would recmmend it to others.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is a bit rundown. The carpets in the room were stained, not due to a lack of cleanliness, but just from age. It is well maintained, but in need of a good remodeling. Good amenities. The business center was helpful but overpriced -- as is to be expected -- over a dollar per page for printing and $5 just to log onto computer. The restaurant was not too bad, the food was flavorful and the staff was nice -- it was a pleasant place to have dinner. Overall, it is a perfectly fine place for a business stay and the amenities were all good, just a bit rundown.

Hotel has a ripped chair, curtain, but overall it was good stay.

No room service available. Arrived late at night and unable to get anything to eat. No late night food open, room menus were old. Very average hotel.

This hotel has signs of being once very nice, but it has not been tended to. For the price of less than $100 per room you can overlook the wall paper peeling off the walls, the drop ceiling that looks like it is going to drop completely. While the staff is friendly, they do not seem to be interested in their jobs or if you have a pleasant stay. Still, the location is great and it is nice to have a budget hotel in the center of the city. The rooms appear to be clean (though they could take a few minutes to wash the windows). I would stay at this hotel again.

My son and I were there to give a presentation at the Medical Center, so we found the location to be convenient. We started out on the 15th floor, and the wi-fi was HORRIBLE for all of our devices--computer, ipod, and gaming system. The guy at the front desk apologized and said we should get better reception on another floor closer to a router. He moved us immediately to the 7th floor and the reception improved dramatically. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. Good experience.

Stayed 2 nights, both nights the wireless internet service kept going in and out; would work for 5 minutes then shut down. Another person i was traveling with had the same problem. When i asked at the front desk if anyone else had reported a problem, i was told i could call the administrator help line.

My sister, my niece, and I stayed at the La Quinta north this past weekend. We were there for my nephew's graduation from the University of Rochester. We had a room on the first floor with two double beds. The room was clean and comfortable. It might be time for them to start thinking about replacing the carpet. It is a bit worn, but still serviceable for now. Although our room faced the parking lot we were not disturbed by cars coming and going. The room was very quite. The hotel offers a free breakfast each day, which was remarkably full. There were both hot and cold items to choose from. The neighborhood is not the best, but it's not scary either. We were three lone females, and we were never anxious or nervous about our surrondings. It is only about half a block from the interstate 390 exit. Very convenient for getting back and forth to the university. The staff was friendly and helpful. What more can you ask? The best part was that the price was more than $100 less than the other hotel we looked at. We were all very satisfied with our stay at La Quinta north. We would stay there again.
