Great stay at the Lofts!

I had a wonderful experience at the Lofts. My room was clean, and comfortable, it was set in the heart of downtown around great restaurants, and an easy 5 minute drive to the Short North District, and a 20 minute drive to Easton for great shopping. The front desk staff were friendly and pleasant, the only small foul up was when my room key did not work twice, but it was easily resolved. At night when I turned the light on there did seem to be quite a good amount of dust...which i'm allergic to, but overall I really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again!

My son loved the pool and arcade room. A great steak restaurant nearby is Ted's Montana grill- they specialize in bison steaks.

Business travel experience gets VIP experience

I've been traveling for some time and I had to make a stop at Columbus. Well this was a remedy for homesickness. Not only the room was great and the service outstanding but the location convenient. I walked to the Arena district I found great restaurants and bars. Highly recommended

Very New York for a midwest town

Room was very nice and location is handy. Service at the desk is a bit lacking since they are a "extension" of the Crowne Plaza next door.

Great Contemporary Hotel

If you need to be at the convention Centre or a sporting event this location is great. Felt very un-hotel like...more like living in your own loft apartment. Restaurant next door will door room service. If weather is not good, the lofts is joined to the Crown Plaza and the convention centre by above strret walkways.

Lofts hotel visit

It was nice, but we are use to staying at the westin on high street and this paled in comparison. The bathroom was not heated....so cold, and the heat didnt work in the entire building our first few hours due to maintenance. No in room movies, expensive parking, and only a max and ermas restaurant. i will say their were a few opportunities we did not take advantage of..the pool and fitness rooms, but you had to exit the building and enter the neighboring building to get to it. It was not a bad room for the price, but next time we will pay the extra 30 or so dollars for something just a bit more special, and memorable. Also, the duvet cover had a texture of both tree bark and lizard skin. Not very comfortable.

Almost a Nightmare near High Street

Nice Fall weekend planned beginning in Amish Country (Walnut Creek/Millersburg) followed by a trip to Columbus and a night at the Lofts, first time staying at this hotel and my partner and me were both looking forward to it.Arrived @ 1730 and when I gave my name to the concierge, she looked at me and stated "We have no reservations for you." My heart sank and then I became a bit annoyed. I produced my confirmation number and proof sheet (I had made reservations back on May 9th through [...]). The young lady looked at me and stated "Well, we are sold out so we can set you up next door at the Crown Hotel." I looked at this lady and told her that this was unacceptable and she would need to contact her manager so we could converse. Within five minutes a young man appeared, I told him my story as he pretended not to hear me and he stated to the concierge, "let him have one of these three rooms." The manager walked away w/out batting an eye.As a healthcare professional who has done my share of traveling I didn't appreciate the attitude given to me by both the manager and to an extent by the concierge. In addition, I was embarrassed in front of my partner and in front of the couple behind us although they didn't seem to mind. The concierge did state, "we have no record of this transaction." [...]

Excellent Hotel

I stayed at this hotel the night before the Columbus Marathon. It's one of the closest hotels to the finish line. The hotel permitted a late checkout so that I could shower after running the marathon. This was very helpful of them, considering that the hotel was full of marathon runners who were all asking for a late checkout. The sign for the hotel is rather small, so make sure you know exactly where it is before you arrive.

The Lofts - making the show.

The hotel's location made it perfect for what we knew would be a long concert. It was peaceful to come back to after the show & the room was clean and restful.

We Got the Good Room

Our room was large. Looking at a floor plan, it appeared to be the largest size of room. There were some that were smaller, though I doubt they were undersized either. The rooms are somewhat irregular because it is an old building that served some commercial purpose in a former life - warehouse, if I remember correctly. We liked our room, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the friendly and efficient treatment by the sole receptionist at the front desk. And there are some historical artifacts that they have incorporated into the hallways. Max and Erma's restaurant does room service. Not too expensive, and the food was fine. However, most people would not want to eat room service meals with so many dining options within easy walking distance. We did only because I was recovering from an operation, which made the large room a blessing, as I could not get out of it for a day.
