A horrible experience

This was the worst place I've ever stayed .there was urine in the stairwell when we arrived, the room had a musty mildew smell even after attempts were made by management to freshen room. the comforter on one bed had a burn hole in it ,if we didn't leave the room by 12noon we didn't get clean towels or the room cleaned ,my daughter forgot her toothbrush the hotel didn't provide hospitality/comfort kits and I'm uses to continental breakfast being more than select muffins, boiled eggs and dry cereal.I'm uses to hotels having various menus from area restaurant for dining in or delivery ,there was one ,we had to uses the phonebook in a city/state we were unfamillar with we were in town for a wedding we ended up staying out of the hotel all day, spent two nights with family and checked out early .

Okay

We got in super late, set the alarm, and it didn.t go off. We were scrambling to get out by 11 am and if the staff had stopped bothering us...we would have gotten out a lot sooner....I didn.t understand the phone call and the maid knocking every few seconds, while I was trying to finish packing and get out...otherwise it was ok.

Unpleasant surprise: do not bring pets.

This was not a terrible hotel, but it was profoundly unpleasant for the price we ended up paying. We chose this hotel in an effort to save money. Upon check-in we were informed that in addition to the cost quoted to us, we would have to pay an additional $12 for each of our two cats. In my opinion it is unethical to levy such a charge without disclosing it ahead of time. For the price we ended up paying, we could have stayed at a much nicer hotel. The amenities were what I would expect from a cut-rate bottom basement hotel; uncomfortable beds, towels and bedding, a coffee maker that was missing a part, absolutely undrinkable coffee in the lobby and a heating system that had two functional settings, meat-locker and blast-furnace. Other Days Inn locations that I have stayed in have been much nicer. I will not stay at this this hotel again.

The good the bad and the real ugly

Though we next to the highway, shopping, and restaurants. The glaring strike was the rough textured towels that literally scrapes the skin. Staff very friendly. Room was small (probably because of the King bed. Would recommend bringing your own towels to enjoy you stay.
