BEST WESTERN PLUS Sandusky Hotel & Suites

I thought this hotel was a very good deal for the money. I have stayed at comparably equipped hotels for much more money. The rooms are extremely clean and nicely equipped with refrigerators, microwaves and sofas. I will say that the rooms are not truly suites as they are only 1 room. Having said that, the room is larger than your average room with a king-sized bed. I will definitely have this hotel on my short list when I return to Sandusky

When I first got there the desk lady didn't know what she was doing. When I went to my room the beds looked like the bedding wasn't changed. There was hair everywhere. So go back to the front desk they give us a new room. Ok fine the beds where fine but the bathroom. Was just nasty. Had to go get cleaning supplies from Wal-Mart. I will never stay there again.

We go to Cedar point every year. This is our second stay in this Best Western and it's great. Very clean and wonderful friendly service. Last year we tried a different hotel but came back to the BW and will stay here every year.

Stayed here for three nights while visiting Cedar Point, which is about a ten minute drive from the hotel. Our room was clean and a good size. The pool is next door at the Comfort Inn. Overall a good experience.

We were just there to relax and see eachother. The staff was friendly and got us into our room early. It was a nice surprise having a nice bed for a hotel name I usually don't really enjoy.

Breakfast was a joke... could have a little more effort put into it. Elevator Certificate expired in 2008. 1-2 person cleaning crew leaves all rooms open in hallway unable to supervise each... was quite open for anyone wanting to snoop.

My wife and 2 teenaged kids stayed at this hotel when we visited Cedar Point in Sandusky, the hotel was 10 minutes from the park. We will never stay at any Best Western again. The staff was very rude and lazy. I can tell you the guests were not their main concern. Housekeeping staff were openly complaining in front of us about having to do certain work items. The free breakfast was horrible. Only 1 kind of cereal, small bagels and English muffins. The orange juice was very watered down. The hostess whom stocked the food items seemed put off that she had to even be there and acted as if the guest's were in the way. We had no housekeeping done in our room on the second day and came back to our room late only to find unmade beds and our used towels on the floor in the bathroom where we had left them. Upon check the room was not very clean. I observed some type of stains on 1 of the bed comfortors. Upon checkout I asked for a manager or someone in charge to complain about our stay but learned there was no one in charge working. I was given a phone number and asked to call back during the week. No pool on site. This was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. I could go on with more but I'm sure you can tell just how bad this hotel was.

This was our family trip to Cedar Point. Stayed two nights. The most important feature for us in a hotel was the close promixity to Cedar Point and room cleanliness. This hotel certainly met our expectations on both! The rooms were very clean, comfortable and roomy. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. The continental breakfast variety was limited but they did have waffles. The pool and restaurant were located next door at the Comfort Inn not at the Best Western which is where we stayed (this actually is plus because there wasn't that extra restaurant traffic and pool noise). It's unfortunate that the front desk staff was not very friendly or welcoming.

We spent 2 nights at the Best Western in Sandusky. They did not clean our rooms for the second night. They just threw the covers over the bed and put some clean towels in the bathroom. Check out is 11:00 a.m. and at 9:00 a.m. the cleaning staff was knocking on our door asking if we were ready to leave. We said no, so they stood outside out door until we left. The hotel was nice and it was clean, but we were not very happy with the staff.
