Late Night Arrival -- no choice

We had requested a non-smoking room on cheaptickets. We arrived late and we were given a smoking room. The front desk staff indicated there were no smoking rooms available but gave me a bottle of freebreeze The smell of the room was terrible even with the freebreeze. The gave me two free subway sandwiches as a consolation. Will never stay at a Hampton again if I have a choice.

Great place to stop on a long trip

We were on our way to Ann Arbor and decided to spend the night in Toledo to break up the trip. The hotel was very clean and as one would expect from a Hampton Inn. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Toledo, however, is not much of a town with very limited places to dine unless you love chains (i.e., McDonalds, Applebees, Wendys, etc.) which we do not.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Eat at the Docks - an area in downtown Toledo that has a few better than chain type restaurants along the water.

"Excellent service"

Stayed overnight. Had the continental breakfast. Wished there were more protein options at breakfast. Liked the small convenience "store" at check-out window with reasonable prices for our long trip home (meant we didn't have to stop for snacks). Desk manager was so helpful with trying to find extra bed for us and blankets, as well as air freshener, even when she was off duty.

"Fantastic Accomodations"

very quick during check-in with front desk staff. complementary breakfast and lobby area were fantastic. there was plenty breakfast items to choose. the hampton was the most enjoyable stay out of three additional stays during our trip.

Worked for us

This was an in and out business trip for my wife. The location was excellent for our purposes, the hotel was clean & offered both smoking and non smoking rooms. (A plus in my opinion) Excellent continental breakfast till 10am. Only downside was lack of microwave & refrigerator in room. Otherwise, quite nice.
