restful room
The room was nice and staff was helpful. Other reviews mentioned that it was in an unsafe area. I found this to be untrue. It is on a medical college campus, but was still a relaxed, restful area. Would stay again.

Good Location, Excellent Beds
We did not spend very much time in the room, and the time we did spend we spent sleeping. The bed was super comfortable - five stars easy. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. I was surprised by how big the pool was, and will be sure to make time to get in on my next visit.

Hilton Toledo in January
I was there to visit someone at University of Toledo. The location was OK, but not walking distance to University or downtown. You need a car around there! Everything else about the hotel was great -- really friendly staff and helpful shuttle drivers to/from hotel! Nice Crabtree and Evelyn soaps/shapoos, etc. Super comfortable beds. A bit noisy in the morning with all the vaccuuming, but I suppose that is true of any hotel. I would def. stay there again!

Three Stars
I usually like Hilton Garden Inns so since this property was presented as a full service hotel, I expected more amenities, space and luxury. The sleeping area was okay, not great, but reasonable. However, the bathroom was very small. The sink and cabinet were too large for the space so instead of making it look luxurious, it was cramped and unnecessarily irritating. The door opened so close to the edge of the toilet that I had to stand to one side to get into the bathroom. It was virtually impossible for more than one person to be in there at one time. After taking a shower, I noticed water on the floor near the toilet and the front of the tub--even though I had made a point to position the shower curtain correctly, so something was leaking. I only stayed one night, so I can't comment on the maid service other than that the room looked neat and clean when we checked in. Check-in and out went well, but there was no luggage assistance offered or provided; I didn't even see a bellman. The staff did accommodate our request for a room closer to the elevator and a late checkout. The biggest problem we had was finding the hotel --signage is not good. The property sits way back from the main road, but driving North on Glendale the hotel sign is placed beyond the entrance, requiring travelers to make U-turns. Placing a street sign bearing the hotel name in the block or so before the hotel might reduce a great deal of frustration for weary travelers. Also, once on the site, directional signage for the hotel should NOT be an add-on to other campus signage. Instead, it should stand apart and be HIGHLY visible and easily readable especially AT NIGHT!!!

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Lots of inexpensive dining options nearby. While you could walk to many of the restaurants, I would suggest walking only during the day since lighting is poor on the campus and I saw no patrols while we were coming and going.

mixed emotions
I had misplaced my cell phone in the hotel, and I called the cell number to see if It was left in the room, but maybe I just left it under the bed or out of site somewhere. I heard nothing within 5 seconds, then I went to the computer that was available to guests, and found the phone. When I was sent the bill under my door it showed the call costing me over $ 19.00 for a 5 second call. I had the desk correct it, but I'll bet no one would else would have caught it, and would have paid that w/o asking, because most people staying there have a great income to take care of such things, and don't even question it. Second, I was having breakfast and the waitress brought me the bill and rudely put on the top of the book I was reading while eating. No one in any other restaurant in my life has ever been that rude to do that. That spoiled an otherwise very pleasant stay at the hotel Toledo. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to a friend.

Very nice hotel
We were in town to attend the Jamie Farr LPGA golf tournament and the Hilton was a convenient location with nice facilities (pool, fitness center, restaurant), clean and quiet rooms, and good service. Restaurant and bar were nice but a little pricey. Food was good and "by the glass" wine selection broad. The "free breakfast" deal we got made helped make booking this hotel a very good value.

Short drive from hotel
Chain restaurants like "Ruby Tuesdays" are nearby but "Fifi's" (4 miles) is the place for a special occasion dinner.
