Business and Family Fun
I chose this hotel for a business trip, but then my family (spouse and first-grader) came along, too. It worked out perfectly for all of us. The location was convenient; the breakfast was good; and the pool was a big hit! Add on the friendly staff, and this is a property that can't be beat. It was great.

The staff was friendly, the room was very clean--the only complaint I have is that the room was so expensive. I've been traveling for over a week and staying in a number of different hotels and this was by far the most expensive, despite the fact that Stillwater is typically a much more affordable location than OKC or Norman (other places I stayed).

Our stay was ok.
We weren in Stillwater for a National Basketball tournament. I was disappointed when I walked in the hotel and they were remodeling. They said oh it is just in the lobby. Well it wasn't, it was the whole hotel. It was noisy in the mornings. The room we were in was already remodeled so it was very nice. I was a little surprised there was no fridge or microwave in the rooms. Last week we stayed at Aloft in Dallas and our room rate was half what we paid at Fairfield, but the rooms were much, much nicer and we had a microwave and fridge. I would have felt some better about the remodeling if I had been told ahead of time.

Great location (near OSU), quiet, clean.
Hotel is in great location - few blocks from OSU. Room was clean and very quiet. Would have given it 5 stars - except that hotel is under rennovation and not finished. Our room was one that was completed - and it was great. Common areas of hotel (hallways and breakfast area) are not ready yet. Think the rennovation will be done by start of school year 2011 at OSU.

Just OK
Hotel was average. They were doing some construction right next to my room which was off-putting. It was clean and the front desk was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. I thought the price ($89.00 per night) was high, but all the hotels in Stillwater are overpriced in my opinion. Convenient to OSU, I was there enrolling my daughter.

Fairfield Inn
Not bad but there was construction that left the hallways and elevator dirty. I think the manager did the best he could but the workmen need to clean up after themselves.
