disappointing overnight stay

the hotel does have signs up, "pardon our appearance" but i was still disappointed. we didn't hear our neighbors talking or their tv but anytime someone turned water on to take a shower, it was like an explosion in our room. the room darkening shades don't adequately cover the window and there are no other curtains. our room was on the ground floor so we could have had conversations with anyone in the parking lot. it lacks privacy. the thin blanket was not enough for sleeping. yes, we could have turned the heat up but since it is dry air heat, it would have become difficult to breath. the sheets did not stay on the bed - at all. our shower dripped from the time we arrived - plink, plink, plink. the room wasn't worth more than $40 and we paid double that. live & learn!

front desk was really really nice the girl who works there really was a nice nice person the pool was really warm and really nice however the place look like a 7 1960 it was not modern and kinda dirty looking it was actually clean a dirty look

The actual room was fantastic. It was big, VERY CLEAN (always the most important thing for me), quiet, and cool (ie: the air conditioner worked well). The parking (an off-site garage) was right next door to the hotel and FREE if you got your ticket validated (all you have to do is give it to the front desk person at time of check-out). The actual time spent at the front desk was also minimal having booked and paid in advance - always a plus. Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only drawbacks were that we couldn't get the internet to work (although they did provide the password) and the restaurant downstairs (the only place for food other than the coffee maker in the rooms) was over-priced and the wait staff left a lot to be desired. Luckily there are a number of places to eat (also pricey) nearby which were fabulous. Toiletries are provided at no cost; a plus for the forgetful traveler. A final caution: there are 2 Holiday Inns in Allentown so make sure that you, the weary traveler, go to the right one the first time...

Our daughter goes to Muhlenberg and we have tried many of the hotels in the area. We keep coming back to the Best Western. It's very clean, comfortable, and very reasonable. It's also very close to the school.

We came for the Drum Corps International's Eastern Classic in Allentown. And if you wanted to also take in the Musikfest in Bethlehem, the airport area is perfect. Also, plenty of restaurants close by and a new shopping center across Rt. 22.

The location is great, especially if you like to shop. The hotel is at the edge of a large plaza.Therefore, in minutes you can walk to all types of stores and restaurants!You are located at the expressway entrance, so travel is super easy!The room was clean,yet very small, and there is a simple breakfast each morning. It was frustrating to have the ice machine broken the entire stay!(In 80degree weather!)The breakfast area could have been kept cleaner and have a few more tables. You are not allowed to remove food from the breakfast area, but there are 12 chairs available for seating! I had to stand to eat one morning!(on weekdays breakfast is until 9, later would be nice!) Coffee is available 24/7. Refrigerater , no micowave in room. Overall its an okay place to stay for a short time at a good price.

Business trip, looking for a low-priced place to stay. Location was good, close to Route 78. The bed was clean, the water pressure in the shower was good. Other aspects of the property were not so inviting. Hallways were pretty run down and dirty, doors in disrepair. Continental breakfast is not like other Econolodges....no practical place to sit. Okay to grab a quick coffee to go....

The Comfort Inn was nice enough, and the staff was friendly. The room had all the amenities. The cost, however, was ridiculous. I realize it's next to Dorney Park, but I would expect a much larger room and an air conditioner that worked better.

Everything was great!! The pool, Hot tub, cleanliness of rooms, continental breakfast. If I had a negative it was the sound of the freeway near the hotel. You could hear the vehicles but it wasn't that bad. I had a room that was facing the freeway so it might not be as loud on the other side. The "other" side room numbers will be the odd numbered ones ie: 405, 407, 409....etc.

Room too small for a family of 4

I guess they didn't have any king bed suites at the time I was looking for, but it's a little misleading to offer a room with two double beds as being adequate for two adults and two teenagers. It's just too small.
The pool is very small and needs better upkeep. The railings on the spa were a little loose, as was one step on the pool ladder.
But: nice staff, great location, everything very clean.

hotel was great. once i got here, i called because i could not find it. front desk could not tell me what ext to get off. put meoff on some eles whom did't know it took me an hour to find the place. which was easy if they knew the exit. you would think they would have that at the front desk. after call three time, they could have look it up. other then that my weekend was great with my granddaghter she love it that made me happy.

This hotel is not a bad place for the price. You can definitly tell the hotel is older, but everything in the room was clean. The bed was actually really nice too. They offer a continental breakfast which suprised me, but was a very nice touch to the stay. Clerks were very friendly and helpful.

I was there for pleasure and I stayed at this super8 and this was the worst place. [*] I had to keep checking on my car to make sure no one broke in it long story short HELL NO. Now i stay at the Scottish Inn that down the street from there for less money and nicer staff and rooms are really nice for the money and alot of family's stay there as well. or the Ramada Inn.

terrible this hotel should not be offering rooms there was no lock on or window there were people fighting the room smelled like [*] i asked for a refund but did not get one staff was horrible [*] we recieved a call at eleven oclock at night from someone who seemed like thy were casing the room so we left in fear for our safety if u value your life do not get a room at this place take my word please.

quiet hotel. No road noise even though it is next to Route 22, a heavily used highway. Breakfast was OK. Wi-Fi Internet is free and is good and fast. I stayed 2 days on business and stay in High end as well as low end hotels based on price and cleanliness. This passes the test for the price. Restaurants both chains and locals are withing walking or a short ride. Denny's and the Bethlehem Diner are next door.

Tv had no remote, bed was on a slant and the bed was made like it was intentionally short sheeted, but come to find out the blankets were just short, bathtub wouldn't hold water because of a bad plug, continental breakfast consisted of donuts,cornflakes,juice and coffee. The door to the parking lot would not accept the key had to go all the way around to the inside door to get in. Air conditioner did not work properly. Terrible place.

The best amenity about this hotel is the pool. It was great! My kids loved it. I must say that when we first arrived, the room assigned to us had an unbearable stench. It was a mixture of smoke, sweaty feet, and sweaty underarms. We had to change it. The next room was alot more bearable. The housekeeping and concierge were very nice though. The continental breakfast consists of donuts, juice, and coffee. What was a little un-nerving were the weird looking people walking around aimlessly but for the price what can you ask for.

I had a good stay. However, I will not stay on the first floor next to the front desk. Room 111. The lady asked me if that was okay at check in. I said it was okay but I didn't think about it. I was wrong. It was quite noisy. Again, they asked me if it was okay, so my fault.

The Hampton Was a beautiful facility. The front was being reblacktopped so it was difficult for the handicapped individual to gain entrance. We did discover the rear entrance, but it was quite an incline. Then we returned and parked in the rear and could not get in as the rear entrance was being repainted and we had to go in the front entrance in reverse from the 'EXIT'end. Bath tub was difficult for the handicap individual to cope with so we had to go out and buy an additional suction cup grab bar and tub bench to adapt.[...] Had to wash some clothes during our 5 day stay and the washer and dryer were old and dryer did not work to dry clothes, but sucked in all the money.Breakfast bar was excellent, but needed high fiber foods. Fresh fruit was great. Fortunately we brought our own granola and Silk milk and added the fruit. The microwave was removed after the first day as it was broken and was not replaced or repaired during our 5-day stay.Directions to local stores and restaurants was available at the front desk via printouts was excellent. Maid service was excellent and the one we had out-shined the managers on duty with excellent customer service. The evening manager and the maintenance man and who was doing the painting lacked customer service skills.

The hotel staff was very friendly, they allowed us to check in early without any complaints, the rooms were clean and had plenty of towels! The shower had excellent water pressure. the pool and hot tub were part of a shared deal with the hotel next door, and it was very clean and relaxing! High speed internet was free and easy to sign on to. The breakfast was great! The hotel was a good deal for the price!

My experience at the Sleep Inn Hotel, was that a cricket came out of the bathroom door pocket, pocket sliding door, and ran across the bathroom floor. The other issue I had with the stay, is the shower, granted it was an adjustable head on the shower, just no pressure, ot flow, however you want to look at it. By the way, I did kill the cricket.

The front desk Attendant was really nice. The rooms are clean and the hotel looked clean overall. good location-dunkin donuts and boston's resturant was basically in the same parking log along with a shell gas station. Easy access from the main road. This is our second trip to that hotel and would go back.

Value Place is an extended-stay hotel. Our rates are priced for a minimum one week stay, and are not adjusted to a daily rate if the stay is less than one week. When your stay goes into the next week, another weekly rate is charged. However, even though many people decide to stay with us for months, many guests staying less than one week find us less expensive than traditional hotels. Room fees and a 100.00 USD refundable deposit are due at time of arrival. The 100.00 USD deposit is charged upon move in even if the room is placed on a credit card hold. Deposit is refunded at move out pending no damages or owed charges. Front desk hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-2PM and closed Sunday. After hours move-in must call extension 500 and the security guard will be paged to assist guests. Enjoy your stay in a clean, safe, and economical environment.
