Perfect for business and leisure travelers alike, the Comfort Inn Riverfront in downtown Harrisburg Pennsylvania, features free high speed internet service, free breakfast, seasonal outdoor pool overlooking the river, business center, great dining at Passage to India, warmly appointed guestrooms, and personable service. The hotel is located alongside the Susquehanna River, ultimately convenient to exciting City Island, the State Capital and downtown office buildings, and all that the Harrisburg - Hershey area has to offer. Pet accommodation: 25.00/night.Pet limit: One pet per room 25 pounds or less. Pets allowed in designated rooms. If a pet will be in the room it must be mentioned at the time of booking. okay

Room was Too HOT!! It was difficult to sleep on first floor near the front desk and it was horrible everyone walking by were making noise in the hallway starting from 6am to 9am. Free Breakfast couldn't find a seat and had to take the food to the room. Too many guests trying to get breakfast. The pool was okay but not enough umbrellas with chairs to lounge. The price was fair. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Pleasant hotel, grimy location

The rooms were very clean and pretty. Desk service was lovely. Wifi didn't work, and no one was able to fix it. Breakfast was chaotic; too many people in a small area and few amenities.

Check in and Check out a mess

The check in was a mess. They had lost every person confirmation in front of me and took about an hour and half to check in. They had one girl working the front desk on a Saturday night [*]. It seemed like it was the first time she had used a computer. The sheets were dirty and stained and the room smelled. The check out was just as bad, after waiting for 30 minutes I finally just left my keys on the desk and walked out and would just cancel my credit card if there was any extra charges on it. This hotel was a good price but I would never stay here again. In fact, Comfort Inns in general are dumps and would rather not stay in one ever again.

Check in was fine. No complaints. Room was ok and small gym welcome. Breakfast bit so great but considering the price of the room was not so bad. Overall would stay again but not rush back to Harrisburg as a city

All about location

We chose to go with an economy hotel because the other hotels near Hershey were so expensive. The location was awesome since it was central to all the Hershey area activities. It was clean enough, and the area the hotel is in is an historic neighborhood. The Indian restaurant next door was good! Essentially, we got what we paid for so we couldn't complain for the price.

Good location for the price

We enjoyed walking along the river which was literally across the street. The views of the river were especially beautiful at night. Was really very close to the restaurant row and the capitol complex. It was about a 15 minute walk most of which was along the river.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Gourmet type food at the Firehouse and Spice for relatively reasonable prices. 4 Gay bars in close proximity to the Capitol complex. Negatively,one can smoke in bars in Harrisburg.
