I thought I was booking in Amish Country..boy was I wrong. The hotel was actually in downtown Lancaster. Had I known I was going to pay an additional $14 for parking, I would've just paid the extra to stay at a hotel closer. The hotel was older and needed some attention. Not sure what the deal was with the restaurant. A lot of construction going on in the area. The elevators needed cleaning and polishing, but the rooms were pretty nice. The bathroom looked recently done with granite and nice fixtures, but the spots on the carpets, took away from the overall appeal. Probably wouldn;t stay here again, but it defeinitely was not the worst place I've ever stayed.

The Staff was nice, elevators did not work in the parking garage, was not informed that they stop working certain hours. It was in a good location close to everything, the rooms were nice and clean, the pool needs an update, said they had a fitness room did not see it. The free breakfast was basic cereal, muffins, toast, fruit, and beverages could be better

Great weekend trip

Check in was nice and easy. We didnt have a problem with parking as others stated. We parked in the public garage in a spot reserved for the marriot and handed the ticket to the receptionist in which she stamped and for $16 gave us access to come in and out for 24 hours. The rooms were extremely clean and comfy! The hotel is in a great location we walked around and had coffee at the Prince Street cafe. Everything is also in a close driving range. The October blizzard messed up our plans but we made the best of it. Only minor issue was the price of movie rentals they are just about the same price as actually buying the DVD! And the fee for Wifi is a little pricey in 2011 it should just be free! But all in all, I would recommend this hotel.

My husband and I are from Lancaster PA but have lived about 80 miles away for the past seven years. We come home every couple of months to visit family and friends, but seldom spend time in the downtown area. We travel often but decided to treat ourselves for Christmas and stay at the brand new Marriott in the center of town. The staff was very accomodating, the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We ate at the restaurant and were very pleased with the service and the food. It is a well-appointed hotel with an immense lobby area and the Christmas decorations were beautiful and in good taste. The only downside I see concerns the TV in our room. It's large and very nice, but they need to have a printed channels card. There are so many channels (a good thing) that you can never remember them all and the way to find a channel you want was very aggravating. Except for that minor item, I would highly recommend this hotel to one and all.

Hip stay in Lancaster

Came to the Cork Factory Hotel for a much-needed long weekend get-away. Had a great stay, enjoyed both the hotel and Lancaster. Hotel is stylish, in a converted industrial building. Decor is modern and hip. The location was a bit isolated from downtown attractions.
The hotel restaurant, Cork & Cap, was outstanding, with excellent decor, service and food. The complimentary hotel breakfast was good too.
Overall, a weekend well-spent, we would do it again.

Loved the hotel, but the accoustics are lousy, could hear the people above our room as if they were in the room. Staff did contact the room above and they reduced the noise level.

Good short getaway

Very comfortable room with a great bathroom setup. Wish we were staying for more than 1 night, but were only in town for a concert. Breakfast buffet had great choices and was really good. Enjoyed the quiet bar as well. Overall, great experience- very relaxing. Thanks.

As we are accompanied with Kids, we had to take some kids food and unfortunately the refrigrator was not in good condition to keep food stuff cool for the next day. The food got spoiled and finally we managed from outside food. The response from the staff about the issue is not professional.

Hotel was in a somewhat unsavory neighborhood. Exterior is old and unkept Parking lot around the back is so small that it is difficult to maneuver your car into the spaces. Rooms were unremarkable (which is okay). However, there was a small roach living in the minifridge. It crawled out of the door lining and back in before I could get it.

We arrived late after seeing a play at the Dutch App[le Theater. It was dark and cold and we were glad the motel was not to far away. It took very little time to check in and find our room. It was quiet and the TV and everything worked in the room. I could have used an extra blanket even though the room was comfortable. I liked having lots of pillows. The furniture looked beatup but for the price that wasn't a problem. The breakfast was good expecially the waffles.

When we arrived at the address, given by [...], the hotel was no longer THERE!! We called the phone number on the reservation and it had been disconnected!! There were no available rooms anywhere to be found in Lancaster! After the concert, we attended, we drove the same distance we had gone to get to Lancaster to get back home. [...]

the holiday inn was the worst hotel we ever stayed in. they were going through renovations and never told us, we had to go through the back door where there was all furniture, beds etc. there. the door was left open and screws were in the push handle to get in (no security lock). my husband, myself and our daughter were staying in one room there was only one bed. they knew there were three people staying in that room, we had to get a roll away bed, the elevator was filthy plus it was my parents anniversary and i was mordified on the conditions. nope i would not recommend it to anyone. oh yeah the outside pool looked like it wasn't used in a long time. thank god it was only one night.

Staff greeted us nicely and put our three rooms near each other which was great because we had two little ones that went from room to room. Good breakfasts that was included in the price. Didn't need a pool this time because we had our days planned with so much to do that we knew we wouldn't use it, so stayed here because of the great price. Close to restaurants, shopping, and Dutch Wonderland.

Stayed with my family - wife and 3 children - 1, 3 and 5 yrs old. Room was very inviting - smelled nice and clean. To close to the highway on each side but there's nothing you can do about that. The cost was sweet. we plan to go there next time we're in that neck of the woods.

Great place to stay. Room was clean and very inviting. It was larger than most hotel rooms we have stayed in. Easy access to highway and great shopping a few miles east. Pool, exercise room, hot tub available 24/7.

This hotel provided a good experience. Nice, clean rooms and beautiful bathroom. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again without any concern whatsoever.
The only thing missing that would have made our stay even better was some kind of a TV guide channel. There did not appear to be a TV guide channel on the TV itself and there was nothing in the room to tell us what channels we get. I didn't think to ask the front desk, however, because we weren't really there to watch TV, and I suspect there must have been some type of card or paper that was simply missing in the room.

I visit Lancaster at least twice a year to see family. Usually spring and fall. This hotel accomodates my needs and is very comfortable. The indoor lobby is a good place to sit and visit. The outdoor lounge area was great as the weather permited. The location lends easy access to the outlet stores without being directly on the main highway, which can be very congested. It is also just minutes away from downtown Lancaster which hosts many art galleries. We attended 1st night which is held the first Friday of each month from spring to fall, where all the shop keepers and art galleries stay open late for browsing and buying. This was my first stay at this hotel in Lancaster and I'm looking forward to staying again in the future.

We arrived at 2:00 -check in was at 3:00 and they were in the process of cleaning our rooms. Came back at 3:10 and they were still in the process of cleaning our rooms. Finally we were given different rooms.
Rooms were average. Nothing terrible but nothing extraordinary either.

This hotel was very convenient for us because it was located betwwen the 2 outlets that we wanted to shop at, and we were only in there at night. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was tasteful. All in all it was adequate for what we wanted.

Stayed here one night after seeing Sight and Sound Theatre show. Hotel lobby was beautiful.
Skipped a swim in the indoor pool because it looked like it hadn't been vacumned in a couple days. Water was crystal clear, so you could see all the debris in the water. Had dinner at the on-site restaurant. Service and food were good. Dessert was great. Room was nice, but could easily hear noise in the hallway when people were walking by and talking.

Woulda been nice to know that the hotel was being rennovated. Computer problems at check in. Windows leaked rain water all over floor in room. Hopefully its all fixed after the rennovation, which, is underway as of 8/2011. Call before booking....... Last minute booking due to being evacuated for hurricane so it did in a pinch......

I just returned from a weekend at Willow Valley Inn with my two young granddaughters (6 and 7). Everyone at the resort treated myself and the children perfectly; the waitresses, the children's program coordinators, even the cleaning people! There are crafts for the children; there is a large playground, basketball and tennis courts...and, of course, the wonderful indoor pools! Plus, everything is in walking distance. The room was just right.... large, clean and contained a small refridgerator. We will be back again!

The room was clean, the staff was wonderful. Hotel sits behind a WaWa gas station that was busy night and day. The curtains in the room didn't close all the way so you had headlights flashing all night, made it difficult to rest and relax...

Parking for the handicapped was adequate.We liked the size of the beds, Breakfast was reasonable and well priced. The room was clean and it smelled clean and sanitized (no tobacco smell). Front desk staff were very helpful with maps and directions to attractions. The shower curtain should be longer in the bathroom to prevent floor flooding. Directions on how to turn on the hot tub should be placed by the timer.Overall we had a great time and Doubletree hotel will definitely be one of our favorites.

Room smelled like mold

The rooms smelled like a combination of mold and dirty feet. When we asked for another room, we were told there were none available. The pool area was filthy. The Hot Tub had hair floating in the bubbles and the bubbles were actually grey-brown. There was a birthday party in the locker room area and every time you needed to use the bathroom, you had to walk in between the party and their tables to get to the bathroom. We actually couldn't even find the bathroom for awhile, because the party was blocking it. I acually visited Lancaster a few years ago and stayed at the Eden Resort. I would highly recommend staying there instead.

The hotel was very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and well stocked. Beds very comfortable. The staff was attentive and very helpful. It was a joy to stay there. I was in meetings and it was very comfortable to get "home" at the end of the day.
