Quaint, clean, A little hard to find at first.

A 36 room independent hotel in historic neighborhood. Even though an old building it is semi-modernized without classic old character. Complimentary waffle breakfast. Exterior renovations in progress at the front made it difficult to initially find the hotel. No signage or street number readily visible. And as you approach from parking in back, side door is a little obscure but once there, now I know and will visit again more easily. Nice bar/grill attached and normal amenities like exercise room.

Nice and convenient

This is a nice old hotel (140 years old!) and has lots of charm. The rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable - nice big flat screen TV, wireless and complimentary breakfast. The hotel seemed a bit short staffed - the front desk is literally a desk/podium and the staff often help out in the restaurant while also trying to tend to the front desk. For this reason it was hard to find anyone to talk to to ask for restaurant suggestions, directions, etc. High marks for the restaurant - nice outdoor seating and good food for a reasonable price. All in all would highly recommend - and the location is wonderful.
