Wonderful location, close to Monroeville Mall and within walking distance to restaurants and convenience store. New hotel, and decorated with modern/art deco. Quiet air conditioning and heating unit.

Quiet and comfortable

stayed there with my husband and daughter. My daughter had her own space and pullout couch and tv our bed was was dreamy bedroom was away from hall so it was extra quiet. hotel sits back from highway so no noise from trucks etc... Wished they had a spa but pool was new and clean. Only complaint was traffic getting to and from university of Pitt. Took longer than expected with the tunnels and hills. Staff was really nice. But all the hotels at Pitt were expensive and booked. This was a nice compromise.

Right off 376, 9 miles to Pitt

  • Tenawesome

Decent rate, but I've stayed at better places for $100. Room was nice, parking right outside of room, bathroom was pretty much all that seemed dated. The only thing that bothered me was the staff. Walked in the door, two people at the desk and no acknowledgement or even smile until about a minute later. I have a very similar job and that first impression would have got me in trouble. It's obviously not a Ritz Carlton, but it doesn't hurt to act like you work at one.

Not bad for a one-nighter

This hotel was just a short drive to a mall area with plenty of restaurants. The hotel is average and our room was clean. The bed was very lumpy and the bathroom wasn't very clean. The free breakfast was good; they had a variety of things to choose from eggs and sausage patties to cereal. It worked out well for us for a one night trip but I don't think I would stay for a week.

Good for a night

I had to stay overnight near Pittsburgh and the Super8 was sufficient. The room was clean and everything worked, which is good enough for me. The continental breakfast was meager, but what else could you expect? If you're on a budget and only need to stay for a few days, this a good hotel.

Manager on duty was polite and helpful in providing restaurant information. Check-in was quick, room was already prepared. Room mirror was dirty, like a soda can had splattered it. Walls are thin, can sometimes hear the people in the next room talking. It was good to have a small refrigerator in the room, along with wireless internet. Can definitely hear the tv across the hall. Breakfast offered muffins, cereal, toast, coffee, and juice. No apples, oranges, or bananas offered. Overall, a decent value if needing someplace to stay one night.
