Great room space
Overall it was a great experience. Rooms were clean and spacious. Some things that could up the value is that their was no On/Off for the room temperature. You needed to put a temp/degree # there at all times. Parking price was also a bit steep.

Excellent, but needs a restrauant for breakfast and lunch. Nothing around there but Hyde Park Steak house for Excellent dining!

Great stay!!
I stayed here with 4 friends on a baseball roadtrip. The hotel and the city were amazing. The staff was the most memorably genuinely friendly and helpful staff of any place I have ever visited. The value for the money was great, and the location is amazing (less than a mile from both stadiums, about a mile walk to downtown or the casino). We were able to tailgate in the parking lot, they have a shuttle service, and the continental breakfast was outstanding. The only downside I can think of is that the pool was relatively small compared to some other hotels. I would come back here in a heartbeat if I ever return to Pittsburgh!!! Thanks Hyatt staff and ownership!!

Short walk from hotel
There is a kayaking place near PNC Park. This was absolutely easy, fun, and cheap. I had never kayaked before in my life, so I was somewhat nervous of the safety. We walked right up (no line), the staff explained safety and technique, and before I knew it we were kayaking wherever we wanted on the river. It was only $12/person/hour I think. Well worth it!

Perfect Location
The hotel is located between PNC park and Heinz Field. Stage AE is just a short walk away, too. You can walk along the river path all the way to the Rivers casino.

A couple of things I noticed in other reviews held true. The room had an odd smell. I think this was from the fact that the a/c doesn't run unless someone is in the room; this leaves the room smelling stale. The staff tell you the a/c doesn't run unless the room is occupied as part of their "green" energy savings plan, but the planners obviously did not anticipate the fact that stale air does not smell good. The room was spacious, quite clean (despite the odor) and the bed was comfortable. The a/c unit was not user friendly; it was quite loud. The staff were quite friendly, and the location is excellent if you're going either to PNC Park or Heinz Field. For the price, more "no" than "yes" and on my next trip to Pittsburgh, I'll try another hotel.

north shore's nicest
This hotel is the ideal location to downtown (less than a half mile to walk along the beautiful river path). There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance too. I did not have the continental breakfast but my husband, who mind you is VERY picky, said it was amazing. The hotel is neat, clean, and furnished very modern. The staff was very friendly. We rode the elevator with one of the managers who was personally delivering bottled water to a guests room. They offered a late checkout due to personal circumstances. Overall, I think it's a great hotel and would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone.
