Good, basic hotel
I agree with the other reviews I read before staying here. The hotel is very basic. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The location was great if you are planning on frequenting the busier are of town that contains dutch wonderland or the outlet malls. If your destination is the college area of downtown Lancaster or the outlying areas its not as ideal, I kept getting caught in the congestion outside of Dutch Wonderland. The hotel is light on amenities. No pool, no breakfast, not much of anything. If you are looking for a hotel where you can hang out in the afternoon, this is probably not your place. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to sleep at the end of the day, this is a good choice.

If you are looking for a non-pennsylvania dutch attraction for children, the Science Factory was a wonderful, hands on experience geared towards children ages 8-13/

Not Again!
We had come to the Amish country to relax and drive around the country roads. I must say July is not the best time for that - roads busy, way too many tourists! (Even if I was one myself!) The hotel is definitely past it's prime - the type where you don't want to take off your shoes and not cover up with the duvet! Bathrooms were small and not the cleanest, had to have bulbs replaced in lamps. [...]

Clean, Friendly, Great Location
The room was very clean and the front desk clerk was very nice. The hotel is in a Great location - close to everything including shopping, entertainment and restaurants. I usually stay in another hotel which happened to be booked, so I tried the Olde Amish Inn and I am very glad I did! I will be staying here on my future visits to the Lancaster area!

Down to the basics but all we needed was a bed to sleep before my race. Room reminded me of a dorm room but it was clean. Walls a little thin as we heard our neighbors talking and traffic was a little loud. You got the necessaties though!

Loving Lancaster
A good deal ...
We enjoyed staying at the Old Amish Inn. It is very close to Dutch Wonderland and the outlets. The rooms were a good size and clean. The man at the front desk (I assume he's the owner) was very friendly and accommodating. They have a continental breakfast. They also had a refrigerator, microwave and hairdryer in the room ... some of the things that you only expect at the pricier motels. But this was one of the cheapest ones in that area. We'll definitely stay here again.

Olde Amish Inn
The staff was friendly and helpful, but there was something of a language barrier, that eventually was worked out. While the Olde Amish Inn had clean rooms and friendly staff, we were disappointed that the inn was neither old nor Amish. There is an Amish farm adjoining the inn, but there also is another large building being built next door, and a health center on the other side, both of which killed the "in the country" feel we got from looking at the web site.

serves it's purpose
The hotel was VERY dated, but clean. Traffic noise was a little bothersome, and I was not able to communicate with staff (no one available spoke English) and I was hoping for some "insider" directions to local attractions. They did have a nice selection of brochures, but it's not the same. I might stay here again, but I'm just as likely to try another place.
