Best location for a PSU football game in State College!!! The only downer....our room had one double bed. Most couples are used to sleeping on Kings.

It was pretty good overall. There were are few small issues. We tried to order a movie - it ended up a whole big fiasco - the movie wouldnt work - nobody could figure out why - and then they wanted to move us (at mindnight) just to try to order a movie in a different room. The shower curtin in our room was gross - there was old dried u shaving cream from other people and it was moldy. The room could have used an overall good dusting. When i am paying to stay somwhere - I do expect my room to be spotless. However, other than that everything was fine.

The staff was helpful. The location is good for a football weekend. It's a straight shot up University drive to the stadium. It's an average hotel.

Just a few minutes from PSU campus. Pillow case was dirty on arrival. 3 adults, 2 towels. Still way better than the bowling alley place!

Came down for a weekend trip. I didn't spend much time in the hotel, but when I did, the hotel was clean, tidy and well kept. Only downfall is the layout of the room. With the curtains; when they're open, a humungously large glass window viewable from every passer by is now uncovered. When the blinds are shut, the room turns into a cave. My only suggestion is to attach some lighter, thinner blinds/drapes for the option of natural sunlight without creepers being able to see me.

Great Value in State College

This is a very good choice in State College for the money. We were in town prior to dropping off a camper at Woodward, and this place filled the need very well.
While this certainly isn't a high-style choice, you probably already know that if you're choosing this brand. But they do a lot with what they have.
The room, and the whole hotel, was very clean. The front desk folks were attentive. And the breakfast area was efficient and clean.
If you want to be very close to the PSU campus without literally staying on campus or at the Atherton, this is about as close as you can get.

Very nice weekend. Soaked in clean Hot Tub every night before bed. Enjoyed a great concert @ Penn State which is just minutes away. Serveral places to eat in area. We had a good time. A very nice stay. Hightly recommend Comfort Suites in State College.

Really enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and hotel in general, comfy bed and pillows, modern flatscreen tv, cool one cup coffee maker (sanitary), caring about the environment with asking you to reuse your towel etc.
Didn't use the gym or eat breakfast but other than that, they seemed like they would be good too.
Would definitely stay here again!

The quality of the hotel was at least a full star higher than suggested. We we're very happy with our room. Super clean, attractive, useful and comfortable. Our only possibly complaint is that the hotel seems to be popular with the local college crowd, if you know what I mean.

The restful and neat appearance of this hotel impressed me. The room was comfortable and the layout cleverly designed. I had a queen bed and my son slept on the pull out sofa. The sofa was not a great experience for him.
The sheets were lovely cotton and the pillows just right in density. My only criticism would be that the towels were not the same quality.
The hotel was in a quiet area...no train whistles or traffic sounds.

the hotel was conveniently located. the staff was courteous and friendly. the room was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities that you would need (mini fridge, coffee maker, ironing board) the hotel had free coffee in the lobby (24 hrs), they had a great dinette for breakfast, hot snacks, wine and beer, a small store, an indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room. This is a great place! Much more than expected

Good enough for overnight

We were there just for the night before our son moved into his dorm. It's an older motel with the outside walkways enclosed. Sort of like making a "sunroom" out of your porch. It was clean. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast in the office/lobby was coffee, orange juice and danishes. The best part is how close it is to campus. There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby.

I stayed here while visiting Penn State University and received great service. My room was clean and comfortable and included a mini refrigerator, microwave, cable, and wireless internet. The exercise room is nice but small - a basic elliptical, bike, and treadmill machine.

Williamsburg square, closest possible location to Beaver Stadium...still can't walk to it, but 5 minute shuttle ride from hotel...restaurants in parking lot, a Wegman's 5 minutes down the road.

It was wonderful to stay at a hotel with such comfort. Friendly staff, clean room, clean sheets, and mattress & pillows so plush and soft, I wanted to live in them. There were four of us in the room and we were very comfortable. The free FULL breakfast included hot waffles and delicious country sausage. If I'm ever in the area, I'm definitely staying again.

Location, location, location. It was nice to be right in town a stone's throw from the Penn State campus, within walking distance of whatever we needed, instead of out by the interstate. The building had warm, but historic feel to it of an older multi-story grand hotel, and the price was competitive.

There were no directions about internet use in the room. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. There was some mold on the bathroom ceiling that should be taken care of. The hotel lobby is very beautiful and room service was good.

I was nervous about the stay in a 2 star hotel , but it was inexpensive and near the college. I was PLEASANTLY surprised. They were helpful , friendly and cooperative. Dining was EXCELLENT on the outside deck and in the Blue Dog FOR BREAKFAST. It was 2 of THE most important things to me, which is QUIET and CLEAN. Not for the snobby upper crust, but for the traveler who wants a clean, comfortable room, friendly service and good food at a fair price.
I would certainly stay there again! We loved it!

They did not have a queen that we reserved, but they had just added a new computer system, so we understood. They offered us a choice of two other rooms and allowed us to go and check them out before picking one. They have great food, outdoor dining, and a wonderful staff. The Blue Dog breakfast wsa excellent , and the outside dining was winderful. The room was clean, and everything worked fine. They are apparently updating and rennovating, and I am sure it will be even more wonderful in the future!

Was here for a night, and just needed a clean room to sleep in. This place definitely provided that. It was average all-around, which is fine. No king beds, just doubles. They were kind enough to replace our toiletries, which we had left behind.
I'm sure it might be better for golfers, as I think there's a course somewhere around.

I have stayed in several hotels in State College and wanted to give Toftrees a shot since it was updated. The room was clean, but the place did not have an elevator. The bed was uncomfortable. The hot breakfast was not that good.
Why does Orbitz take your credit card if Toftrees does not take payment for it. Better have your card with you. Now I have to make sure I was not billed twice.

I love the location - it is easy to avoid football traffic when you are not going to the game. The staff is top notch and accomodating. My 4 1/2 year old loved being able to go swimming for her Sat evening activity following a good dinner at the Garden restaurant. CDT at my door and a fire in the lobby fireplace helped make it feel like the home I return to year after year for Homecoming and Blue White weekends.
