a comfortable stay
hotel is clean, 2 miles from downtown, convenient location the bed is a little smaller than queen size as they advertised. more like a double.

Hilton Garden Inn at State College, PA
The Hilton Garden Inn was clean room. Nice white fresh towels. The refrigerator in the room was very convenient. Friendly and accomodating staff. The restaurant had a nice selection of breakfast foods. A pleasant waiter.

Requested a non-smoking room.
Requested a non-smoking room. Was given a smoking room, as were other guests that requested non-smoking. I didn't complain so it was my fault that I didn't give the hotel the chance to rectify the situation.

Great place to stay in HAPPY VALLEY

Do not book Through Orbitz.
Booked a room for a game weekend at Penn State, and had my Orbitz confirmation number. Upon arrival at the front desk I was informed that the Manager called orbitz to confirm reservation and contact us for a deposit and orbitz told them we canceled, so the Hilton canceled our reservation. This was a nightmare and I no longer will use Orbitz and am thinking very much about banning Hilton.

Nice hotel
Very close to campus but away from the hustle right next to the campus. Very good on premise restaurant, but all the different foods you want are a mile away around the campus.

Everything you need and more
The Hilton Garden Inn in State College was quite a delightful surprise. I had stayed at other HGI's but this one was the best. Our hotel room had a jacuzzi, which was the icing on the cake!
