Location, location, location
Location, location, location. It was nice to be right in town a stone's throw from the Penn State campus, within walking distance of whatever we needed, instead of out by the interstate. The building had warm, but historic feel to it of an older multi-story grand hotel, and the price was competitive.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
A few blocks to the right on the main drag was a great reataurant called something like The Corner Reataurant. It was on the near corner (wrapped around the corner with wonderful windows) in an historic building and has been around a long time.

Potential unrealized
Perfect location. Nice facility, but comes across as a bit shabby. Front desk staff bored and bland. Restaurant average at best. Could be very good with a little effort.

comfortable stay
There were no directions about internet use in the room. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. There was some mold on the bathroom ceiling that should be taken care of. The hotel lobby is very beautiful and room service was good.

Very average
Adequate at best. At least the room was large. Cheap furnishings. Carpet, paint and wallpaper are a bit shabby. And if one meal in the dining room tells a story, avoid it all costs!

Good Location
Good hotel to stay at for business. Location is in the heart of downtown, very near many shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Penn State's beautiful campus is less than 2 minutes walk away.
