good location, but not worth the cost

This hotel was fine, but pricey. Basically, you are paying for the location, and since I was there for a wedding, that was all right. The room was kind of stuffy/ musty when we checked in, but served the purpose, and we split the bill 3 ways. Given those circumstances, it was fine, but I wouldn't recommend it overall. Too expensive for a fairly average experience.

Wonderful location...

The location for the Village Inn is very convenient. It is a quick walk to the Pier and Narragansett beach. It was clean and had some nice amenities. Breakfast is offered each morning with plenty of choices. Warm cookies are offered upon check in and the Providence Journal is availablefor reading up on local activities. The hotel is old and in need of an update.

Description
We are located on the east coast of the United States in Narragansett Rhode Island. We are across the street from the beautiful Atlantic ocean and a block from Narragansett town beach and 2 miles from Scarborough beach. Right in the heart of town with restaurants and shops just minutes walk. We are located 1/4 mile from the historic towers located on Ocean Road. Located about 40 minutes from historic providence and minutes from Newport and the Port of Galilee-a quaint fishing village, with ferries going to block island.

Great Value, especially off-season

The room was clean, though obviously it's a well-worn hotel, the carpet and windows have seen better days, but it's right on the water, and within walking distance of everything in Narragansett. I'd go back, though the hotel is less-family friendly than one would like.
